That’s a fair point, I guess. Rathalos would probably be pretty good, though.
I think Phoenix Wright is workable; he can do more than JUST object, but they’ll probably go for easier ones.

I think the low damage setting is just right. I didn’t feel like I had to play 2 out of 3 in a rotation.
No if Thor’s crouching heavy was his move with super armor Thor would become average, not broken. Mostly because there would be realistic uses for a stand alone crouching heavy kara throw set up. If they aren’t going to improve him through super armor then they need to speed up his jab. I still play him but I’n not delusional about anything, just a fan of the character from the comics. If you’re losng to Hulk it’s because you’re not respecting him and you’re hittin buttons every two seconds. With Sentinel, what he loses in not having a tri-dash he has in his distance game and a much faster flight start up. I’m not saying any of his air normals should receive that luxury, just crouching fierce. It would force people up close to slow down their approach up close. You’d still be able to throw him out of Mighty smash, the beginning of Mighty Strike, duck his projectile and generally run from him if you have to. It’s a minor fix that would amp the character enough to be competitive. Right now he’s easily one of the bottom 5 characters in the game.
Yeah I just think giving him super armor is just another scrubby way to go about it to fit him in with the hurr durr armor big guys. I look at him not having armor as keeping him unique instead of just homogenizing him with the pray for armor characters.
I’d be fine with Ghost Rider, Strider, and Sigma.
Though I REALLY want to see Thanos come back and redone… no more bubble parties please 
The moveset he has is unique enough. He’s a big guy with an arsenal of moves but none of them are particularly overpowering. Plus none of the other big characters have his kind of air resets going for them. So any fix that makes those air resets come up more often is what Thor should get. The player would still have to approach you the way he did before. He’d end up being about as dangerous as She-Hulk.

Dr. Strange, Vision, Venom, Nick Fury or Black Widow (although Nick might be too much like Chris and Black Widow could be too much like Jill), Blackheart, Ghost Rider, Cable
Sounds more like people just need to get better with Thor considering he has such unique capabilities.
Y’know…that’s actually part of it. If I already thought that he was bein used to peak or near peak potential I wouldn’t be playing him now, so yes, I’m still pushin. Unique doesn’t mean good though, it sounded like your reason for him not having super armor was more aesthetic then anything else, which is kinda dumb. I say an improvement ends up helping the character for x, y ,z reason without breaking the game. You say…“but he won’t be special anymore”. I give reasons for why the character would keep his individuality (more opportunities for those kara throws Killian was so proud to demo before the game came out). You say…well…really nothin. Just sayin…
Thor isn’t in bottom five. He is about middle tier to lower middle. He has a bit higher learning curve but needs some minor buffs such as speed increase. Against him getting super armor on any of his normals but his Mighty Spark H with super armor would be great. He just needs a speed increase, maybe that and give his hammer spin the Volnutt shield treatment in negating projectiles and for meter neglecting beam/projectile hypers.
Hope returning aren’t all who are in SMvC3. Would like to see what they could do with GR,SS,SW, and Strange.
Mighty Spark needs to hit crouching/smaller characters. His L in general needs a speed buff, there’s no excuse for him to get punished for whiffing a jab.
As long as we get Gene, Megaman X, and Date Masamune, I will be happy.

Personal character wishlist:
Demitri: DEMOAN CWADLE! FIYAH! Anyway, was always one of my personal favorites in DS right behind Hsien Ko.
M. Bison: Seeing really exaggerated MAHVELIZED versions of Bison’s moves is something I really wanna see.
Tessa: A bit more obscure of a pick, but I’ve always been a sucker for magic users.
Venom: Okay, it’s incredibly cliche, but I really would like to see how Venom would work in MvC3. Spidey being the only Spider-Man character represented seems like a big waste.
Ghost Rider: Could have some really interesting normals and specials utilizing his chains. Maybe some Omega Red type stuff.
Blade: Some might say he’d be too similar to Deadpool but I don’t buy it. I’ve always been a ffan of the character regardless.

oh my, if they put tessa in I’d be so happy as long as she had a lock down assist 
I’d love to see Samanosuke make the roster, i loved Onimusha and they could easily make him a multi weapon user like Amaterasu.

that side needs more bad guys, seriously.
Marvel:
Someone “obscure”, but not completely unknown to the non-comic reader. Also someone who isn’t a villain. Contrary to Capcom side, Marvel is packed with them. Someone like Songbird would be cool
or just bring back someone from 2, like Juggernaut or Omega Red
also, I don’t want to see Venom, but I wouldn’t mind seeing how they would make him look and work in the engine.
