Im on board with Paper here.
That list is totally accruate with respect to being a representation of Characters that were in MVC2 and have ‘drastically’ changed in MVC3.
I dont really think that was a very hostile comment either. I mean Ive read some mean stuff that Paper posted but this one is just the truf
EDIT:
Morrigan is probably this most similar to here MVC2 form, but honestly if you played 2 for the last decade and youve been playing 3 for the last few months IDK how you could disagree with the list
you might be right, but I wanna give my FG brothers the benefit of the doubt.
but Im not an idiot Im sure 90% of the ppl in here threw their first fireball in SSF4 if not MVC3 itself
oh no.
Akuma31 dont do this.
I know your not a noob bro.
Did you play MVC2 much?
I mean honestly bro these chars have changed quite dramatically.
I dont think your list, although composed, is valid. Im sorry.
Same moves doesnt, by any means, mean same play style.
In fact 2 characters can have the same special moves and be dramatically different. I know that I dont even need to begin sighting specifics
I just said this because most of the characters in MVC3 that were in MVC2 have the same basic framework. I’m not saying that there hasn’t been some drastic changes in the way their tools work, but for the most part they have the same specials and hypers. Venom is a very cool marvel character, I just wasn’t a big fan of the move set they gave him in MVC2. That is my reasoning, (which I thought was obvious to anyone who has played these games) keep up the trolling! I need to go post some more stupid stuff.
Dr.Doom- Can’t wave dash, lost ability to throw multiple Photon Shocks in the air (got nerfed from awesome pink to yellow).
Captain America- Lost double jump. Replaced it with shield gimmicks that only work in the middle of the stage in a game where the most random combos take somebody from corner to corner.
Iron Man- Randomly changed his command for Smart bombs, made his launcher slower and clunkier, lowered damage and chip damage on photon cannon, reduced flight length, lost his cr. roundhouse, lost infinite and his combos are now harder.
Storm- Can’t whiff normals for meter, lost jumping roundhouse and her tri-jump overheads, made her whirlwind slower on start up, nerfed her lighting storm so it doesn’t shoot thunderbolts around her, nerfed her lighting attack so that she can’t move around the stage as easily and is far more punishable after doign them.
Morrigan- lost her beam super, lost her wave dash.
Sentinel- Lost the chip damage on his normal, lost unblockable, flight was nerfed, lost spit-rocket punch-HSF loop and dash followup from wherever, got hit with a bat in the health department, lost ability to guide Sentinel Force.
Yep, they all sure somehow manage to play the same. Paper is usually an angry dwarf but you are just posting dumber than usual stuff now.
Who gives two shits about Wesker. Wesker is solid but he ain’t the bees knees. The problem is you saying dumb stuff such as “pretty much they all have the same playstyle as their older counterparts” when the characters can no longer function the way they did. Some characters got a lot better like Spider-Man but a lot of them lost important stuff from their games.
When I think about that stuff it makes me not want Strider back for fear of what they’ll turn him into. Other then added roster, somebody give Thor a normal with Super Armor already…
