It’s kinda the same with Capcom. People have been asking for characters of dead franchises for MvC3 too. If they actually made a Capcom fighting jam thing, a big part of the cast would probably be from Resident Evil, DmC and Street Fighter again. And without a character featured in one game 7 years ago.
I hope they would throw in Asura, because it’s a recent game. Or just make an Asura’s Wrath fighting game. Yeah, I’d prefer that actually.
You know, while everyone was clamoring for their favorite characters to get in this potential game I feel someone form Capcom’s library was missed.
Just give me the T-Rex as a playable character please.

I wouldn’t exactly call the roster terrible. There’s much diversity and there’s literally no one they could add to make the ones who do play the game not whine and those who write the game off interested in picking it up.

The popular characters get the attention. Niggas were hype for Dante and Sentinel but no one cared for she hulk, Ammy and Haggar. It’s the majority consumer who have the greatest weight in decisions by capcom not us minority hardcore players ( lol hardcore players on SRK that’s an oxymoron )

Having the Killer 7 in the game would be dope. Just have Harman smith as one character then have some sort of mechanic that allows to switch to each of the Killer 7 members.
For me, creating a Dragonball Z game with the MvC3 engine would be the foremost accomplishment of human kind.

In fact, I only complained about Marvel’s decisions which are totally unrelated to the three characters that I mentioned in my wishlist (since they are from the Capcom side)

Then I pointed out that the only thing that Capcom would lose from Marvel are their character designs. Do you mind telling me how is this “butthurt” to you?
If you are speaking about movesets and in-game design, then yes, there’s enough diversity, however, character wise, there is barely any diversity, most of them are white, slim males. Nothing impressive on their designs.
As it stands right now, out of 25 Marvel characters, there are only 4 girls, ability-wise, one of them resembles Wolverine while the other one resembles Hulk.
I don’t recall people getting excited for characters like Iron Fist, Nova, She-Hulk and Hawkeye.

They’re not pallette swaps and they do not play the same. You should look at the entire scope of the game and realize the number of femmes in this crossover are diverse and is pretty much unprecedented.
There does not need to be an outcry for these characters. There doesn’t even need to be a strong dislike for a company to consider excluding any of them. Lol the hell?

Venom there’s a chance it wouldn’t be Brock so that’s a no.
Mephisto…would have been some interesting dialogue with GR but no.
Carnage…many enthusiasts don’t like him as is and from a comic standpoint he falls flat on his own.

Bishop and Rogue? Already too many X-Men/X-Men villains was an early complaint…this gives the complaint more credence. Same with Juggs too.

currently Colossus is Juggernaut… he was likely dropped for the confusion it would raise, but an amalgamation of their respective MvC2 movesets would have been interesting. Would need a Classic Juggy alt and maybe a Phoenix Armor alt too.
Scarlet Witch… probability effects on opponents, hex bolts, random evasive counters… temp team block on powers (No more supers?)
Venom would need to be Broc with an Anti-venom alt, but lacks a current big story tie in.
Mephisto and Carnage iirc are not relavant to in current comics… Carnage is too 1 dimensional anyway and Twelve makes for a better option imho.
I really like Apocalypse and Omega Red, but neither are remotely relevant or popular X-villains.
Psylocke works for fan service and has some comic relevance during MvC3’s run.
Bishop while a great potential move set and successor to Cable… is about as relevant a Spiral is now.
Spiral is cool but will never be in even an all X-men fighter when the rights are used.
Rogue would be a nightmare to design currently…
however… These are all marvel character being talked about in a thread dedicated to a would be all capcom fighter.
That said how many IP would one expect to get representation in such a game? There are some IP that would merit multiple characters, but if there were a roster of say 48 do you think there will be 12 IP with some (like SF) getting alot of rep or maybe 24 IP with some from forgotten classics and alot of current sellers?
Alright, everything started when you called me butthurt for mentioning 3 characters that I wanted in an all-capcom game without whining about them not returning, how does that make me a hypocrite? If I say that I want Demitri or Anakaris in an all-capcom fighter does that make a hypocrite as well?
So I point out that one side of the roster lacks diversity when it comes to their designs and you say that I’m contradicting myself by wishing those characters? Let’s check that out:
- A pirate that uses magic, summons ghosts, shoots you with her ship, covers herself in energy to move around and attacks with water pillars.
- A cactus that can set up minions to hit/grab the enemy and has a wide variety of animations from different plants that look like pokemon attacks.
- A girl that is female Goku and can turn you into a fruit.
Seriously, if that is contradicting myself when it gets to diversity, well, I don’t know what to say.
I won’t continue the Marvel discussion, I just said how much I would like that game concept if Niitsuma stands behind it and apparently some people did get butthurt for my comment about the Marvel choices for the cast, which is my opinion and you’re not going to change it anyway when your best argument is “no”.
Back on topic, if this game ever becomes real and works like the MvC games, I hope that Capcom includes more jump cancellable normals like they did in MvC2.
