To clarify, there’s a chance I won’t make it to Lucky’s this weekend. Simply put, I made a commitment to a friend that I need to hold up. I may be at Lucky’s, but I’m 100% out for the hotel the night before.
is this hotel thing happening or not?
It would help to know in advance on the hotel stuff for me personally, preferably by Tuesday so I can properly make plans for it and be ready.
Actually there is a good chance I wouldn’t do the suite thing on Friday but on Saturday it would definitely be a nice option to have since my crew that i’m driving is about 2 hours away which really isn’t too bad I guess compared to the drive others have to take but at the same time it’s pretty dangerous to be driving on the highway while your tired and it’s like 10 at night if you get what I mean.
Oh yea question on SSF4 Teams. Can you use the same character on the same team? I’m still trying to learn all the stuff about how “waseda” style is but i’m unsure. As to my knowledge you can’t but my friend is asking so I want to get clarification on this.
lol last question also the teams tournament won’t start until the end of the singles sf4 tournament, right?

For the most part, team tournaments usually don’t allow same characters and I doubt Roski is allowing it, but there’s always exceptions. Also Waseda style works as so:
Player A / Player B
Player 1 / Player 2
Player A plays Player 1
Player B plays Player 2
If both Player A and Player B wins they move onto the next round, but if Player 2 wins then it goes like this
Player A plays Player 2
And it’s vice versa if it’s the other way around. Basically if both teammates win then you move on, if one of you lose the two winners of each other teams play each other.

Correct. Brandino has the correct rules for Waseda style, and no same character.
Thanks for clearing everything up. This is the first time I have played in a team style tournament so I bet it will be fun and as I pmed you I got 4 from my crew that are interested.

Yeah, same character throughout in teams. You can change the ultra if you win (same for singles).

Oh shit! That’s awesome. Do you know of one on High Pt Rd? I was trying to find a suite with 2 queen beds, a pullout sofa, and a living room type area. The Residence Inn that we did this at before changed over and I don’t know if the layout is the same.

I thought you were running super at noon. I won’t be able to come cause it will be to late getting back. Maybe next time.
It’s definitely going to start early, but we never start tournaments at 12 sharp. We always leave signups open so people have time for casuals/to arrive.
When we start Super, we’re going to have at least 5 stations running at the same time, which is part of why it’s not first (though still early), because I want to make sure we have all the setups ready to go. This will also give people additional time and setups for casuals.
Yea so i’m guessing my plan is to be in Greensboro around 11:30/12 and eat lunch there at the Subway near lucky’s and then head back and register and get casuals in. I got one friend that wants to do the SSF4 singles which this is actually gonna be his first tournament, he’s always liked fighters but has never really made the jump from playing every now and then to like serious wanting to learn and be in the community and then my other friend is gonna be my partner for the SSF4 Teams. Then the last friend i’m still unsure of cause he wasn’t sure of his money situation and if he’s gonna make it but he wanted to enter BB.
