so whens the next one?
It’s not a problem, I had the same fears and it quickly disappeared when I got there. I also used pad and nobody gave me a hard time. It was a fun experience, I loved seeing how hype it can get there. It’s much better in to see close and hyped matches in person then watching it over streams.
Anyways, thanks to Roski and everybody else who attended and put this together. It was a great first experience for me, sorry I had to leave early. I’ll definitely stay till the end next time. GG to you Saisyu, your mix ups with Gouken was too much for me. I’ll try and attend your tourney in Durham. Oh and Roski, I wanted to thank you for encouraging me to show up from earlier in this thread before I left but I forgot. Sorry about that, I had fun and plan on being a regular from now on.
Good stuff. I’m tired as hell though the teams didn’t end until waaay to late like 10:30 is when I think I walked out of there AFTER LOSING so I don’t even know how long it took for winners. It was really fun though, SF4 singles were probably the most fun and i’m satisfied with how well I did. I learned a lot from everyone, good seeing you there Saisyu, Roski and DarkLight and some of you other people that I recognized by name. I really need to get better at knowing people by their name or handle or something but it will probably just be one of those things that after going for the 20th time in a row i’ll get most of the regulars down. I pulled off this weird ass shit with Bison and my friend got that on recording i’ll have to upload it maybe someone with all the frame data and knowledge can look at it and figure out how the hell I did what I did or if I just broke the game. I know it blew Saisyu’s mind and a few of us were trying to figure it out but just couldn’t entirely get it.
Who Won?
Who won?
Ssfiv
Hey guys, this is my first post here. This is Small Wonder, I am a former Tekken player from Charlotte, NC. Some of you may have seen me at the last couple of tourneys at lucky’s but I’m pretty sure the majority of you have no idea who I am. Anyways, I am basically ditching Tekken in favor of SSFIV and I am looking for players/teachers to show me the ropes and help me get better. I would appreciate it if some of you guys added me online, my psn is The_Wonder_2.
I recorded some matches but for some reason the first disc says it’s blank so I lost 5 recorded matches. All I have now is footage of Excited Beast doing a 1 frame link into Ultra 2 with Ken and myself beating a player named Conrad. As I promised to Excited Beast, I’d get the footage of him doing the 1 frame link into Ultra 2 with Ken. Unfortunately the video looks like crap. At first it was too bright and then there was a big shaded line blocking part of the TV that confirmed that he pulled of a 13 hit combo(1 st. MK+Ultra 2).
But according to what HKN told me, he actually pulled it off against Roski in a tourney match and got really hyped and excited as his name suggest. I really wished I could have been there to witness that. Next time I’ll be around longer and plan on recording a lot more matches, not just myself but several other players. I’d like to get a little of everything, not just the top guys but the others as well who do well but don’t make top 8.
Anyways this is the video of Excited Beast doing Ken’s 1 frame link into Ultra 2

Here’s a shitty cellphone recording of Saisyu Vs Roski mostly recorded to help Saisyu understand the Sagat matchup of course it looked way better during recording and I don’t even have a clue what happened to the sound but if it still benefits someone then great.

Also Saisyu, clear your messages
So i’m hoping the next Lucky’s tournament isn’t on June 19th but any other Saturday in that month and i’ll definitely come assuming I have enough time to take off work (my boss requires two weeks in advance…). This was very good stuff and a better experience than my first time overall just because I was more prepared for it and I also liked the Tonamento system.
