Question, what TV’s are we going to use for SF4? I would imagine most of us are playing on widescreen TVs at home (at least I am). Are we going to get some LCDs in or something?

CRTs are what lucky’s has, and are still tournament standard; I for one have no interest in playing tournament matches on anything but a CRT.
EDIT: Just a thought; we should probably leave open the possibility of SF4 teams. More hype is more hype.

I know of at least 2 PS3s that will have EVERYONE thanks to Dez and Darklight. If Deni (EM, GOOD SHIT) brings his, that’s 3, and if Brent brings his (GOOD SHIT), that’s almost 4, and if I bring mine, that’s 5.

Hey yo Brent…AWESOME. To use the LCD though, just make sure you have some HDMI connects. If not, don’t worry too much, because some people may have issues with it.

SF4 will be mostly CRTs, except for Ron’s LCD Monitor, which when connected via HDMI does not lag at all, and Brent’s TV. Don’t worry about the widescreen to sd transition; it’s real easy in this game.
You’re right about the CRTs. Ron’s should be connected if you want to test before, but this monitor doesn’t lag with HDMI (we played a solid 80 matches on it). I do agree with you though, so I’m not going to force anyone to play on it.
And believe me…the possibility of SF4 teams has not been forgotten.

Alex, yeah my TV has two HDMI ports, one of which I use for my PS3 at 720p. Pretty sure it doesn’t lag.
My TV is the same model as the one Lucky used to have in the back except smaller.
I’m planning on attending the Round 2 GS tourney first to try to win the pad.
I still want to come to this, and since you’re counting on Darklight’s PS3 (and Darklight is riding with me) I’ll try to get there as soon as possible but if GS takes less than an hour the very earliest we could get there is 4:30.
When are CvS2 and HD Remix going down?
CVS2 will start first, along with probably TVC and HDR/GGAC. Something like that, depending on entrants. Then the Arstal/Kevin/Matt matches, then 3rd Strike and setting up the rest of the PS3s, then SF4 on everything possible. That’s the tentative plan.
