This demo is serious! Capcom’s try at HALO. It ain’t bad at all! It like Bionic Command and Halo with mecha in the snow with a roll!

i thought it was crap at first, but i’m starting to like it. it’s reaaaaaaally slow moving though.
the default aiming sux big time, but once i changed to “fixed,” it got better. i still can’t aim as well as other games for whatever reason.
the grappling hook makes this game 10x better. i like how you can hang off the side of buildings and cliffs. i’ll try it some more later.
Yeah the grappling hook is the lick! (Roll to the Grappling Hook) It will save your life! And taking the heavy weapons off the mecha is the lick! I’ll have to change my default aiming to fixed today and try it out. I’ve been using the default.
Shooting people from ceiling is dirty! People where inside the big generator room just hanging from the ceiling guarding the data post! This dude killed me something awful! I had to :annoy: NEGRO INSTALL!, but when I respawn-ed I poped up near a heavy machine gun. I went straight back in the same room but I went in the other way and blew his back out!
Double Plasma Grenade: This combo kills! Throw a plasma grenades. The first one will shock them… Let off a few shots… throw another plasma grenade. They are stuck again! Repeat and Rinse until they die! (Don`t get to close to the shock zone because you will get shocked too! )
**Super Mecha Custom: (Super Mecha plus the HOMING LASER and Gatling Gun)**I didn’t test it yet but I will tonight. This will take a while but it will make you a force be reckoned with. Note: The HOMING LASER does not spawn! You have to get it from underneath the tower. (Expect the rest of the player to gang-up on you after you do this!)
Beating the Roll: Tried of cats rolling away. Just throw a grenade in their path! The plasma grenades work wonders here! They detonate pretty fast.
**SLINGSHOT!: ** This is my Scott Popular Trade Mark Move! But it does take some timing. When your ally is in the Super Mecha. Wait for him to jump and grapple his mecha. It`s pretty useless but it looks cool! But as a means of escaping or supporting the mecha driver. It’s not such a bad idea.
**STOMP THAT ASS! ** I saw this happen to a dood last night. We were in a gun fight and his back was turned to the building. We were going at it then I looked on top of the building. I was like, “Oh hell no!” Then I immediately started hauling ass the other way! He was like, “:annoy: Pussy! Be a man! Bitch this Bitch that!” Then THAWOMP! This mecha just laned on him! Dood just jumped off the build with a mecha and just EX-ALEX stomped his ass! 120% OWNED 
After reading this thread I HAVE to download it haha. I found the earlier 1p demo ‘okay.’ I dont usually get much fun from shooters anymore, even struggling to like GoW which everyone is going pretty manic for right now. But some of the snippets of info you dropped about the gameplay have got me interested to check it out. And if what you said is true, you’ll find me on the ceiling, dropping plasma grenades :wgrin:

:annoy: Man Fuck yo’ ROCKET Technique!: This makes a lot of sense and every know and again you will get lucky or gusto! But if somebody throw a grenade at you or launches a rock at you. You can shoot it in mid-air. But the bad part about this is… Well…God bless your soul if you miss. Rocket in your mouth!
Heavy Shot Gun + PLASMA GRENADE = STICKY BOOM: Learn it! Master it! Love it! the problem with the heavy shotgun is the recoil. Use a plasma grenade to buy you some time or even position yourself behind your opponent. Then proceed to BUST-A-CAP in that ASS!
MECHA USAGE: First off there are two types of mechas. The are the little mecha an the big mecha.
Little Mecha Pros & Cons:
Pros: Damn…Well thats fucked up!
Cons: Slower than you! Damn these are the slow as fuck and can’t jump worth shit.
O.K. Typically, the little mecha weapons are random. So you dont know which mecha it is until you get close. The choices I`ve seen are the Cannon, Missle, and Energy Stunn Type!
Get the Rocket type because the reload is fast and you can launch a gang a rockects off before you eject! Works well against the Big Mecha
Big Mecha Pro&Cons:
Pros: Robotic Air Jordan! Not only can it jump It’s the fastest damn thing in the demo! Go for hunting that particular fool down! You can carry 2 heavy weapons on it! Low on life? Go ahead and jump on in because it works Great as a sheild! It comes with a Detachable Gattling gun. If it blows up just go back at take the heavy weapons off!
Cons: The first big mecha, before the start spawning is buried under the fucking snow near an open field! Then when you finally unearth it. You got get in it again it has to intialize and stand-up! You become a big gang rape target in the Elimination mode! Everybody and their mommas are going to try and kill you! When it says danger get the FUCK OUT! Don`t not attemp to run… ROLL or GRAPPLE the hell out! The explosion is terribly lethal!
This demo is sweet.
Man, those disc grenades fly! I throw one of those fucking things right across the map last night. Didn’t get anyone but some dude was watching it head towards him expected it to drop, then he shit his pants and jumped out the way at the last second lol
one thing i love is when you see someone getting in the robots and you throw like 3 sticky grenades to it!!! then they hurry and get out to die to a shotgun blast…just one thing i dont like about this game is that when you fall down you cant be shot…cause i had this one guy on the ground and had to wait for him to get up just so he could kill me!!!
Yeah, there has been a lot of talk about this aspect being changed but you’ve played streetfighter before right?! There are ways to beat this.
Let`s look at some facts. Shall we…
This “No damage state” is on Capcom to change but until then try some of these solutions.
Remember what weapon they had when they fall. If they fall down with a heavy shot gun. Maybe you shoud re-think advancing in for the kill. Drop back and better position yourself. I’ve found that a late grenade works wonders at times! And the Plasma Grenades are gifts from the Gods! "So what if you invinsible. You can`t move!
Walk around them. So what if there invinsible they still have to get up to kill you. When the fall just try to jump over their body and pop up behind them. They now have to get up and turn around to shoot you.
(Most people dont utilize the 90 degree turn buttons…)
Dilaphidation Stage:
So, if you didn`t know there is another stage available to those who pre-ordered the game. But somewhere between capcom and the actual game stores. Some one fucked up!
If you pre-ordered LP you were suppose to get a token with a redeeming code. You put the code in and you can play a extra multi-player stage called Dilaphidation. This stage really puts your grappling skills to test and there is a new mech in that map that jumps higher than the big mech in the Snow Pirate Map and it also has a air boost/ air dash!
(The bad part is that many people don’t know about this stage at all. And there is no way to even see it if you dont have the special demo.)
If you pre-ordered the game and you didnt get a token. Go find your proof of purchase roll back to the store you bought it from and get your shit!
If you didn’t pre-order LP and you are thinking about getting it. Pre-order the collector’s edition! It will have an extra map that will not be available to those with the regular LP until Summer 2007.

Lost planet…the demo is cool but 1 thing still bothers me…i hate it when i am getting shot and cant shoot back cause i am stunned!!!
Also…how are the multiplayer maps gonna look?? are they all gonna be snow based or are some gonna have a different look…i read on ign.com and they gave it a pretty good score (considering they suck at reviews) so imma get it when it comes out in 2 days!!

That’s the selling point of the machine gun! It stuns people. But you can still fire off the machine while being shot!
Machine vs. Machine Gun (Just aim for the head)
Machine vs. Heavy weapons (Just roll and try to get a good shot when the reload or roll off a cliff)
There is a Volcanic Stage … Crimsom River: LAVA equals instant death
There is 8 0r 9 Tier Stage … Dilaphidation: It’s out on a Oil Rig in the Ocean
There is the Training Facility… A big ass wharehouse
Then there is DARK TOWN: A stage with a very heavy amount of constant fog in one concentrated area! (I hate this Stage)
Tips for playing:
Know your weapons, Vs = Mechas, and Maps! Map knowledge with save your ass! If you have been playing the demo you have memorized Pirtate Forest by now. But these new stage seriously dwarf Pirate in Sizes. And there are so many sweet spots on this map. On frozenwasteland there is Alice in wonderland hole that leads to a candy store of dope ass weapons! The problem is I’ve only found it once!
If SRK starts a communtity/clan I most def want in!
