How do I beat the Cat-G at the railway gun? I can’t seem to discern any strat, shooting the leg seems to do nothing, and the head too (other than take off life very slowly).
Episode 3, Chapter 3 right? What you want to do is aim at the side of the worm. There are these spots on it covered by a thin armor. Once you destroy that armor, you’ll have access to its glowing weakspots. It’s easiest to use the turrets on the side of the railway cannon to destroy all of the weakspots. The turrets are always very powerful and can fire much faster than the main cannon. After you do this, you’ll need to rotate the main cannon towards the back of the train for the final shot.

Just shoot the head and leg until it dies. That’s what I did.
Hahah fair enough. Every other boss seemed to have some kind of trick, so I thought I was just missing something.
That boss is just REALLY tough, the only “weakspots” are his forelegs and head/neck, but you can’t really do anything to actually slow him down as far as I know. The most important thing to winning that battle is just rolling his attacks properly so he doesn’t kill you all the time. I have yet to get any GJ award above “Narrow Victory” against him lol
Only other advice I can give is to make sure to grab the VS and the Battle Suits that are around the edges of that stage.
Actually, I just looked it up and it seems like the people from GFAQs were mis-informed (big surprise there). They apparently thought that Number 1 was for Faction only.

Never mind actually, going to play in about an hour.
I can’t verify, but people are saying after you get all the Emotes and Noms from the Slot Machine, then the price goes up to 10,000 per spin. At this point you can get the Gold weapons (no difference…just shiny) and the Noms that are obtained through gameplay (including Number 1).
Waitwaitwait. You can obtain #1 and objective-oriented noms through the slot machine after all emotes and characters noms (ie preset noms, ONLY available through slots) are obtained?
I thought I would have something special with the Top10 and Number 1 noms. Guess not 
Also LP2 is the most addictive game I’ve played since I can’t even remember. I am playing through Hard with 2 friends now. This is one of the best games of the PS3/360 generation imo.
Well, if being #1 was the only way to get NUMBER 1, then it would be impossible for anyone who gets into the game late. It is already hard enough to get a #1 and the game is barely out.
This game is incredible. I bought it(360 version) Thursday and just started on Friday… heh, and I’ve played it for…I don’t even know, but it must have been MOST of today. There’s so much “stuff” to this game, I’m barely scratching the surface here.
*it’s strange that “Advanced” Training seems easier than “Basic” training so far. I really can’t get enough of the simple grapple-hook fun. There should be more games with grapple-hook action.
Those little boxes are starting to piss me off. Yeah, make them have a timer and disappear while I move slow as fuck or have a boss spew them on the opposite side so that I can’t get around. ARRRRRRRRRGHHHHH
Meh. You’ll be playing this game so much that it becomes less of an issue. And if you want to farm boxes play 5-3. At the end when the self destruction timer counts down for the enemy ship it rains boxes down from the sky like every twenty seconds right near that data post. At around 20 secs though you should be running back to your ship. Easy 10,000 credits at least.
I got 58% of the abilities now. Just copped the revolver! I can’t wait to get the double barreled shotty and one shot rifle. Hell, I want them all. But damn grinding each faction! Shit takes a long time. I’m gonna do Rounders to level 30 next for the shuriken.

If you have enough battle gauge you don’t even have to leave the ship and can explode with it and get an extra set of box drops.
Shotgun II is fucking beast in multiplayer and campaign. I finished Hard with 2 friends last night and there were a few spots, where if I didn’t have Shotgun II to keep enemy VS’s and medium-sized Akrids in a constant state of plasma stun, would have been a lot harder. Incredibly useful gun.
Also handcannon is way better than the rocket launchers for the simple fact you barely have to lead your targets and you don’t have to worry about blowing yourself up if you make a bad shot or someone runs in front of you before you fire. Its damage is huge, too. The enemy VSs in chapter 4 that can transform into the subs and the ospreys would have been alot more difficult to hit with a launcher.
I’ve had awful luck with the slot machine for the last 2 days now. I am closing in on having every single nom/title (at least the ones you can only get from it) from it. Almost never get a new weapon or ability. I get a new emote every now and again and some of them are just hilarious/bizarre. Who needs teabagging when you can do the fucking cancan on top of someone?
