Seriously last few nights ive been dire, dropping links all over the show. Admittedly ive not played consistently for a while. Having real trouble with my main rufus in AE, his nerfs are giving me trouble and it seems everyone i fight are diago’s in disguise.
I was seriously pissed off last night, think i lost like 8 games in a row. I’m just doing stupid random noob things in game and can’t get out of the rut.
It happens to everyone. The best thing I’ve found is to take a few days off from the game, but still hit up training mode everyday if you can.
If that don’t work then you most likely will need more beer.
I am turning off my locking-thread-snark-mode for a second: it really does happen to everyone, in everything. Try to push through it. If you’re still struggling AND not having fun, walk away from it for a bit.
edit:actually…maybe the rufus players can buy you a beer. Moving there.
Just take a break from Rufus IMO, Pick up a side character like Makoto or Claw whos styles are a lil diffrent to breathe a little bit of fresh air into your gameplay. Sometimes learning a bit of other characters can help your gameplay a lot.
Whenever I’m dropping Rufus combos, I just go to training mode for an hour or two and practice all of his links, safe jumps and other concepts that make Rufus for what he is.
Everyday before I go on Xbox Live I do the bnb exercise where I practice the close short to fierce punch and cancel into the Galactic Tornado. How I do it? I just do the bnb up to 5-10 times, and if I mess up before I reach 5 or 10 I start over from 0. It’s my own training regiment I use to get the one frame link combo down and it always works for me.
This happens to me if I’m super sleep deprived but hoped up on coffee, I wont feel tired but my play will be shit. Missing links, not thinking about my next moves, set ups etc. Take some time off to sleep or relieve some stress. etc. Could just be tiredness.
