He’s playing a new build though. We should assume we know nothing; anything could have changed for balance purposes. Hulk and Doom can’t cancel dashes in TGS either, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t see if they can in Storm/Viper’s build.
Kanta-kun, I’m not sure if you will be able to ask questions of Capcom, but I am going to PM you my full list of questions I currently have about the game. Your consideration is of course appreciated.
So can someone give me a quick explanation on how Dorm’s charges work? Can he have two on each hand, use the 2-charge PoC, and then use the 2-charged PoD right after? I’m guessin you can’t use a level 1 attack if you have the hand charged up to level 2 (i.e. forced into using a level 2 if you are charged twice)?
And once you charge for the 5th time, it automatically released Hellfire?
BTW guys this is sort of maybe possibly worrying. Chaotic flame seems to have no hitbox near his hands after the few first start-up frames. Explaining this properly.
Playing against wolverine, he super-jumped and then I activated the Hyper just a few frames after, he flew over it and landed right on my hands, but it did nothing to him. We both thought it was weird, so we tested it again and the same happened.
Thats because wolverine has such a crunched character model. I bet the same thing happens with Arthur, Amaterasu and VJ.
I wouldnt call that particularity worrying, especially since you did Chaotic Flame after he super jumped, he could have just as easily jumped behind you and punished you just the same.
On a different note Chaotic Flame is technically a “beam” super so full screen punish is actually pretty sweet. I was surprised by how fast the flame shot across the screen.
I think Proton Cannon had something like that happen too, because I know that Shinkuu Hadouken in TvC had that problem. Might be just the way the game sets up hitboxes?
Did you ever experiment with the ground stick lvl3 charged attack?
edit: I dont think Dorm will fit well with rushdown characters but who knows, i don;t even think gtfo me assist is gonna matter unless you play him on point which prolly isnt a good idea imo. To me it looks like your team structure is gonna be something like; Battery into 3 bars preferably with runaway strong keepaway + good zone assist, dump one bar dhc into homing bomb safely…etc
If your playing a rushdown character you have two options and they dont fit very well, one you have dorm on point and use the assist to zone better. Problem is he’s obviously not going to shine with minimal meter and your opponents team at full capacity. The other is the DHC from you point into him, where again might be ok but leaves him in a situation where rishdown characters usually eat bar up.
The one exception I can see is Dante as of now, because he is so versatile. With all the projectiles and moves he has its easy to switch from a rushdown game to a keepaway game seamless
Guys, that situation i described with wolverine jumping over chaotic flame, same happened with the hulk ;( so it’s not about the opp’s hitbox, it’s really dormy fucking up
MAGUS, i did use his lvl3 and I do believe it’s a command grab type, not a low. Don’t quote me on that, it might have been my opp not blocking right.
