Also see if you can make the PBAE part of liberate worth anything, and if his :r::snkb: flame trap otgs.

Where you playing?

Moves to try: portal, purification, towards+hard (suffer) PotD effects - 1,2, or 3 charges. Potc effects 1 & 2 charges.
Can these moves be canceled into a teleport and start a combo?

If u hold an attack button when he teleports, can he do it in any direction? Like Spiral in mvc2?

See if you can DHC into his level 3.

Also, let me know if he has any good normals.

Also, look at the QA thread, theres a ton of things that we could still love to have verified.

Also see if he can special cancel his command normals or attack out of dash.

Also see if he kicks ass.

I’ll try, I haven’t been keeping up unfortunately, but I just read the whole thread, tell me if this is right:

-Zoning
-air combos fucking suck
-Purification seems to be the shit
-Portal is also the shit to get people off of you
-Teleport is meh
-8-way air-dash is meh

I dont think anyone has even played Dormammu well enough to say what is or isnt decent.

Teleport is great for getting out of harms way once youve frustrated your opponent with keepaway projectiles.

And I really wish people stop saying black hole and purification are to get people off you. These are people who havent played with him talking at this point. The startup on both those moves are way too slow for anything other then keeping the pressure on once you have established it, NOT to get them off you in a sticky situation.

It would be a long block sequence; long enough to fully charge your fists. What I was referring to though is that when you lay it normally, it hits them “back” until they fall out of the fire. If they’re in the corner, that can’t happen. That fire lasts long enough for you to probably take out most of your opponent’s life, or all of it, if they stood in it for the entire duration and had to eat the hits.

Maybe his ground fire?

I want to know if you can charge both hands 3 times simultaneously (i.e. 6 charges total), and if so, what happens when you liberate all 6 charges. If you have 3 charges on a hand, what happens if you charge it a fourth time?

I’d also like to know if you can cancel his ground fire or Suffer into anything, and whether Dark Portal can eat beam hypers. I also want to know if his teleport is useful for anything other than running away.

I am confident he will be a contender. When Seth Killian can’t help but mumble about his love for the character on the selection screen, you are in good shape.

If you want to get people off Dormammu, use an assist. You could also try using his chargeless liberation and see how that goes, since it looks like a “get off me” ability.

Have a blast! Assuming you are playing the TGS build, Dormammu (portal)/Doom (rocks)/Trish (ground trap) create an invincible team against inexperienced players, whom are likely to make up most of your opponents.

I’ll try to check for all the stuff you guys are saying, I was thinking of running Trish Dormammu and Wesker, need to check if wesker is any good as a “get off me” assist.

It’s not an EVENT where there will be alot of players, playing it at a press building, they have it over and picked a few people to play it.

Try Purification xx Floating bomb on hit (cancel at different times if necessary) and try to make it hit them as they move upwards. I want to see if it connects since it keeps them in the air so long as they get hit by FB. Then try DHCing into maximum spider/wesker (if wesker is in). See if the FB is still there when MS cinema starts. (Or just test that by doing FB into MS alone)

Karst, I keep telling you guys, you can cancel Fire and Suffer with :e: and only with :e:. Keits tested it and showed it if I remember right.

Oh; does Suffer (wait) Purification OTG xx Chaotic flame hit?

Edit: Guy, I presume you mean purification. That’s a good one in general tho’, find a way to combo into Floating bomb.

at whichever build he was first playable at, you specifically couldn’t do that, at least not without KFC.

Yeah, don’t use purification and black hole to get people off you, lol. Just pushblock them away to be safe.

In the Chun-Li thread Blue Lightning said the game is using the C.Viper & Storm build. So now Dormammu might be able to cancel more moves.

Also, you could bait the opponent to attack and teleport right behind them.

-Floating Bomb > teleport > j.black hole spam/call assist
Keep the pressure on since they cant pushblock you in the air. See if its viable.
