Edit: The only thing it might set up is his level 3, if it is also unblockable. Seems like a lot of work for the payoff tho (altho the lvl 3 is a pretty damn cool move)

That’s why I kept stressing that all his moves put them airborne. The floorstick would be uncombable out of any zoning moves, therefore useless when not unblockable.
Lol at Dormammu being called a buffed up version of Blackheart, sounds awesome.
So many conflicting stories with Dormammu. Is he new Blackheart or new Cable?
I say hes more like buff Blackheart.
That’s what people have been saying. He’s everything that Blackheart should have been. He’s got surprisingly low health though, and a huge hitbox.
Why not both? 
Probably buffed up Blackheart though… seems like people are calling pretty much anyone with any sort of keepaway game “The new Cable”
Which either means people really like to exaggerate, or this game is setting a really high standard for character power.
I think someone pegged him Cable because of his keepout, but keep in mind Blackheart was keepout as well, just very situational and not very good at that. Dormammu reminds me nothing of Cable.
sidenote: in these match videos we are getting these guys arent abusing the close range vortex hardly enough. And when the opponent runs to the other side of the screen they try to rush down instead of long range column spam.
Cable was more about horizontal zoning like Deadpool.
Well yeah, like I said “New Cable” basically seems to be synonymous with “good keepaway” right now, rather than actually resembling Cable in terms of playstyle.
I’m just loving the idea of people who’re good at MvC2 calling him a buffed up version of Blackheart, that’s awesome.
Not to mention the whole GUNS thing.
Dormammu is the new Blackheart.
And if all goes well Modok will be Sentinel.
i think he means that he was really dominant early on in the game, when mvc2 dropped everyone though cable was broke, then as the game panned out he was just really good. I still have not seen one good vid of a strong Dormammu player x.x, but some cats from comic con where saying dudes where beasting with him so I believe it.
Well i’d love to see the footage because I dont know how many more random flame beam supers I can stomach.
I wanted to see some dirty tricks. Two KFC floating bombs and lots of POD spamming.
Everyone keeps making Doom Dormammu teams but that vertical angle on his column work the same way that the Doom rocks prevent you from jumping in. I didnt see any Dormammu teleporting with Doom, Doom rocks could be a quasi-mixup in that respect but again I seen none.
He’s going to work well with a Pixie character, probably with a good anti air assist. Needs more Dormammu/Morrigan or X-23.
