Looks like we FINALLY got Makoto

Hopefully they use that netcode in their next game.

The matches were mostly good for me today, Darc. A few hiccups from non-US opponents, but that’s expected.

The netcode seemed pretty good on 30th Anniversary when i found games. It was the matchmaking and lack of players that fucked that up.

MVCI has an upgraded version of the Kagemusha netcode from SFV. It’s why I’m salty about them not upgrading SFV’s netcode. They already did…no excuse for them not back porting it into SFV.

You will be surprised how difficult can be to backport some piece of software into an older project.
The netcode could be an improved version of the technology used on SFV, but that doesnt mean that the new technology is still compatible with SFV.

For all we know, many of the improvements could come from ditching a lot of stuff that is core to how SFV works.
Or maybe is build using something that cant be added or will be extremely difficult to add to SFV.

How good is MvCI’s netcode anyway? Can it handle overseas connections without it shitting the bed?

Sacrifices were made so the netcode worked

The faces, the music, the gui, the gameplay, the voice acting.
Basically everything was sacrificed to make the netcode slightly better, lol

MvCi netcode overrated it just resyncs. It’s not decent rollback though.

You know, these are definitely horrible but also not as bad as i remember them being to be fair.

SFV to MvCI is still tragic af tho. And its still has the worst sound design of any video game ever made.

Tbh i don’t think Morrigan looks that bad she’s passable. Dude in the bottom right is having Nam flashbacks after hitting the pipe tho. Top left looks like a “my first photoshop” and Chun looks like the pretty girl who aged in dog years due to smoking.

But really the lighting isn’t doing any of them favors. Need more contrast.

Funny story actually.
During Season 1 I felt more and more disconnected with the game and felt it was boring and the mechanics felt pretty bad, Urien was pretty much the last nail in the coffin with him being Mr. “I steal your round with Aegis!” So I played less and less, but still played ST and KoF98 on Fightcade.

One of my friends who I actually played regulary with, annoyed me basicaly every day to try BB out.
He also dropped SF completly thanks to SFV.
That was the same guy who made me play FFXIV by annoying me every day with it.

So after getting CF not understanding it and playing it on and off for a while, all it took was me to pick by accident one character, it was an actual accident, I wanted Mai.
Just one match was enough to make me finaly understand how the system actualy functions and that was enough to get me put time into it and actualy get me to realy love the game.
GG came after that.

Were SFV almost killed my love for FGs, anime saved it.
Anime and best girl.

What a touching story.

I remembered seeing this on a video before the game was released and thought they were going to make it look more like MvC3’s version.

Oh what a fool I was.

Morrigan could have worked very well if lighting wasn’t consistently awful in that game.

Fuck, Dante might have looked normal if decent lighting was there to hide his scarring addiction to heroin and crack.
