Zangief/ X player here looking for a reason to improve.
It’s fun to play at Gameworks, plenty of better players there–but it seems too inconsistent.
I’ve heard about a Saturday tournament, which sounds ok. Not looking for the team thing, as I don’t know anyone who would want to pair with me. If I could find a tournament that has a cash entry, or something at stake, I’d be down to turn up the heat and improve my game play.
Anyone know of anything specific, and on what days with what address?
You aren’t going to find many tournaments that don’t atleast have a 5$ or so buy-in that any of the better players will compete in unfortunately, unless it’s a smaller tournament as part of a larger tournament.
I’d say hang out at Gameworks and get to know people, and you may get invited to the more private sessions that there are.
^dude the tanaka team tourneys are tight…you can’t have the same teammate twice it’s more for a complete idea of who’s doin well so proper seeding can go on in tourneys…I love it you can always find a teammate, unless there is an odd number of people…them just team up with your alt haha.
Yeah, I’d like to be able to make it to Tanaka’s myself but as long as it’s on Wednesday nights I won’t be able to unfortunately.
If Tanaka reads this, hopefully he’ll provide some information on it! Wednesday nights work for me, and I think he’s an amazing player.
