I just picked up the game and was in the lab learning Jin. I have no issues pulling off his special step by itself. I have no issues hitting a special step from a c.HP. When I try to do a c.MP, c.HP xx SS-Upper the special step never comes out. I can hit the c.HP xx SS-Upper 95+% of the time, but when I add the c.MP from his BNB it never comes out. I have tried doing it faster and slower but still nothing. I even took a input display picture
Have you figured it out yet? I’m running into the same issue…
I was practicing for awhile and finally able to do it. You have to link c.MP and c.HP and cancel into Thrusting Uppercut. It is not that hard actually. But for us newbies, I don’t know how you can do this during actual fight.
I wish someone had come to your guys’ rescue twenty-some days ago.
Anyway, to hit the SS after a Cr. MP to Cr. HP Link, all you need to do is A double Hadoken motion after the HP, the game then registers that as a Special Step and you can go from there.
Annotation would be 2,3,6 - 5 - 2, 3, 6 (That is, Down, Down-Towards, Towards, Neutral, Down, Down-Towards, Towards)
