Looking for players in Dayton, OH for casuals and the like

Hey, guys and gals,

My wife and I just moved to Centerville, Ohio from Orlando, FL. While Orlando has quite a nice scene that was grown with a lot of pain from a lot of players, I don’t really know many up here.

I saw the Arcade Legacy posting about Cincinn, but was wondering if there were people around Dayton who had meet-ups for casuals?

My games (aka games I have a sufficient level of play in, and play fairly often):

Street Fighter III: Third Strike
SSFIV AE 2012

Games I’d be interested in learning more about (I own the games listed, as well):
UMvC3
SSF2 Turbo or HDR (I have experience with this)
Vampire Savior (Also have experience with this, it’s just been a while since I played seriously).
MvC1

Anyway, thanks for any replies or private messages.

Keep it classy,

The Cincinnati thread is also the Dayton and northern Kentucky thread. The Dayton guys come down to arcade legacy to play games on Thursdays and sometimes on Saturdays for ranbats. Arcade opens at 3 and stays open until 1am on aforementioned Thursdays. Next ranbat is the 17th of this month.

And it’s in the Cincinnati Mall? What arcade cabinets do they have set up there for fighting games?

We have a candy cab with Marvel 2 (but it’s Naomi Netdimm so pretty much any naomi game can be put on it), an HD cab with an xbox hooked up to it (AE, Marvel, Persona), three candy cabs with vampire savior, martial masters, and an 18-in-1 board with currently alpha 2 gold on it (it has most cps-2 games on it). There’s also a showcase cab converted to japanese parts with I think CVS2 in it currently, and then an american parts cab with 3s. May be forgetting some but those are the important ones.

We have the capability to do head to head for our cps-2 games because we have the link cable, but we typically don’t do this to have more games available.

We got Columbus Ranbats next week:

I don’t think dayton has a regular thing outside of coming down to the arcade on thursdays, but you can feel free to post up in the arcade legacy thread and ask if people want to get together, and dayton players will see it. Also i think there’s a facebook group if you want to try that.
