going to be attending new paltz university in the fall from long island. the LI scene is pretty active, just looking to see if there’s a community up there.
I’m a New Paltz grad, and live about 40 minutes away, so I’d be down to head up from time to time to play. Don’t know much about a scene there. They had a video game club situation but not the greatest of players.

Most of the people at New Paltz are smash players. Other games are far less common and I didn’t meet a single other SF4 player there my whole four years. I think there are a few people interested in UMVC3, Skullgirls, and GG but it’s usually one to a few serious players of each game. In terms of a nearby scene it’s really hard to come by. The hostile takeover tournaments are the biggest events we’ve had.

Long story short, unless this year has brought new players the FGC is really weak on campus but if you look around you can possibly find or organize something.
