I’m a PC-only gamer and finally SF4 is (soon to be) out on PC. I’m looking for any companies that sell and ship (decent enough for a beginner/medium guy) fight sticks to Europe. I’ve tried googling my way and searching this forum but with poor results. Just post a link here and I’ll take it from there or add anything that is related (like companies to avoid etc.).
One more thing is that besides being a stick for PC it’d be great if it was also compatible with XBOX or/and PS3. Or are there easy to get adapters for that?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I don’t live in UK/France so might not be that easy
Well, I dunno about where you live but for me (in France), I can order off of ebay.com, ebay.fr, amazon.com, amazon.co.uk play-asia (not sure but probably) and some online stores.
Just type “joystick” and you’ll find lots of stuff. The cheapest options are mayflash, the pro fighting stick & Hori Ex2 I guess even though the ex2 is like double the mayflash’s price.
Some Ps3 sticks are compatible with PC (USB), but Xbox 360 with PC i dunno.
I’m using a custom joystick with a psx pad with an adapter and it works on PC lagless.
The SF IV fight sticks for the xbox360 are pc compatible. They have USB plugs and you just plug em in your PC and let windows do its thing and you are good to go. I believe with the PS3 version of the fight sticks you have to find and install some drivers before they will work on the PC, from what I have read, though I haven’t tried it. I can confirm though that any xbox 360 wired controller is plug and play compatible with windows PC’s.
2BAD4U: I live in Lithuania. I’m checking ebay sticks and asking sellers if they ship to my country. I also mailed mayflash whether they can ship to me as well. Thanks for your help.
I’ve just found something on ebay. Can you just guys quickly check and confirm if it’s the real-deal, latest revision of the SF4 TE stick for 360 which is supposed to work on PC without a hick-up? If everything’s fine I’m ordering it. Thanks.
I suggest a Madcatz SE. If you get unhappy with the parts you can easily upgrade it, but stock it is okay. Supposably they will be compatible with the PC SFIV. It would be just foul of Capcom if they where not.
None of the “beginner sticks” are very durable, but this one is the cheapest/easiest to repair if parts do go dead.
Sorry about that, I didnt realise they were strict on the weight of packages sent abroad. I still wouldnt pay anything over the RRP for one. Good luck in your search anyway!
I’ve received a reply from my local PC shop where I get most of my hardware. They said they don’t order any of those TE 360 sticks cause there’s very little demmand for them and the cost would be higher than buying off ebay.
I’ll try and see for a couple of days on ebay if there’s some good offers, otherwise I’ll just Buy Now one, I guess.
