S, J.S,J.C, 236 C 623 C and 214B cover that angle exactly, idk what you’re talking about. : | there wasn’t a single angle I couldn’t touch when I was using him, not to mention some of his chain specials beat projectiles.
Plus there might be a good chance his chains beat out Aim of Hawkeye, unless they fire 1 arrow.
I gotta say, I’m feeling more and more confident that Ghost Rider will fit in just fine with the team I have in mind…
Awesome info, thanks a ton bro-dudes. Ghost Rider is… pretty much exactly what I thought he was shaping up to be, this is awesome. His motorcycle super intrigues me! Did I hear of different followups? Would anyone care to elaborate?
(Also, is the Bike hyper done with QCB or a DP motion?)
What angle are you referring to if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve seen him cover both diagonals and the horizontal plane pretty nicely. Couple that with the fact that(unlike taskmaster) his tools seem to be normals, he can call assists while he is doing this. The only he may struggle with seems to be directly above him, but seriously, if they are right there your probably not doing a very good job at all.
It’s a forward DP motion. If you press 4S after the start up, he turns around, if you press 6S he turns back around, if you press 8S he does a wheelie(regardless of the direction you’re facing), and if you press S again he goes into the air after doing his wheelie and the opponent gets hit with a hard knockdown.
I was waiting for stuff like this!! Could you tell us how safe you think each variation of the SOV (motorcycle hyper) is on block?
BTW, now that we know the motions of specials/hypers, lets start calling them by their names or acronyms to make things easier! =D
Thanks alot Substantial! that was awsome to hear! I read one of your posts and i think you might’ve said we can hit ALL follow ups on the bike hyper? Plz correct me if im wrong, and any notes on the Tornado hyper?
Yeah, you can hit all of the follow ups, but it’s easiest to just go into the wheelie/flying wheelie, turning around doesn’t hit when you’re in the corner.
The tornado hyper has no invincibility iirc, and does a very low number if hits at max distance(5 to be exact, 4 whirls and the finisher), but it’s 100% safe on block, or so it seems, it’s also very fast after the super flash
The wheelie is safe, the flying wheelie is…kinda safe, I mean he goes higher than super jump distance and recovers in the air I think, turning around has a hitbox, and it leaves a trail of fire, idk if you can super jump out though. I didn’t get punished a single time if it got blocked and I just went backwards though, it’s verrrrry fast, and i’m pretty sure you can just do a flying wheelie, then dhc to cover your ass if you need to.
edit: Also the entire bike has a hitbox, front and back, and ghost rider’s cabeza de fuego seems to have a hitbox too for minimal damage.
.
lol cabeza de fuego, all we need is one more flaming head and we can make a team of them.
i found my comic con videos so fell free to check out some ghost rider gameplay
Goddamn man, you were getting your shit pushed that first game, and then all of a sudden you were tearing shit up. Good stuff, nice to see some good GR gameplay. If its not an issue, I would love to hear what you think of him from your play time.
Ghost Rider/Dorm/Phoenix? lol
I can’t wait to play Rider, he looks like a more keep away Spencer character with his whip moves.
WOW… R.I.P. assist pressure.
Does anyone think Ghost rider will be a good anchor?
The more I see of Ghost Rider the more I am sort of reminded of mid-range poke control with bridget from GG. I can’t wait.
Honestly, I see GR going second or first. Second just due to the fact his three assists all look solid. He will need some type of assist that serves a defensive purpose so he can combo with his little bit slow full screen normals.
I personally think he’s best played 1st or 2nd. Once he loses his assists, he doesn’t exactly have the fastest normals, or the best chasing game.
this footage was before i came up with this combo when i came up with that one i was whoopin ass went on like a 20 win streak.
but ghost rider is a good character he only has trouble when characters are pressuring really hard.
i recommend projectile assists like task arrows or something like that.
I was hoping you guys wouldn’t dissuade him from being an Anchor
That presents a problem for my current team. She-hulk is also bad without projectile assists. I fear that having them both may turn out to be a deficiency.
Nah, they should work together. His gustaff fire assist will give her a good anti air and maybe her clothesline can set up some nice combo extension. Use doom or IM with them I guess.
