SOV punishes actually shouldn’t be abused much because of it’s vulnerability on startup. It’s success is dependent on where your character is onscreen and what projectile is coming towards you. You don’t want to be too far so that you can only manage an :l: followup before the opponent recovers (not that it’s a bad thing). On the other hand, if you try it too close, you’ll get hit out of the bike hyper.
If Ghost is low on health, just don’t try it.
SOV should more frequently be used in certain DHCs. The Maelstrom hyper has some tricky timing, so if you are trying to surmount a comeback, it is better to just do a :h: wallbounce followup > hyper.

Hi. You’ve made the right decision by maining Ghost Rider. =) Beleive it or not. Ghost Rider doing Air comboes is more of an alternative to his playstyle. For instance, the only time you’d actually use his air combo would be to force the opponent to the corner or in the case of a happy birthday. Your combo options off of air S are:
call an assist to help make the following hit confirm easier (sacrifice in overall damage)
follow up with s.H,H then either Conviction Slam (more damage) or Chaos Bringer (easier to como out of). Then after the OTG w/ Assist, s.H,H then Chain of rebuttal. Never have to leave the ground. If you are already doing s.H,H and notice that it did not combo off of j.S then use either Hellspire if they are close or Judgement strike if they are farther. Or neither because Rage Whip is pretty safe on block whatever you are comfortable with =)
lastly. you can follow up with c.H, Chain of rebuttal. This is a little harder to link because of c.H being slower than s.H, but it ensures chain of rebuttal to hit and works with happy birthdays.
as for the OTG, it is dependant on when you are using it in the combo and what assist you are using. To ensure an easier combo/less scaling use heartless spire. As a combo ender w/o a reset use hellfire.

Standard Ghost Rider combo with 1 super is around 500k with assist around 600k
can he maximize output damage to around 800k or 900k damage without assist,if with assist what you recommended ?

Ghost Rider should ONLY be used on point unless the situation requires a DHC/ match-up switch. That being said, you should always have atleast 1 assist to use provided that you can only use 1 assist to get in. My current BnB hits i think 620k with 2 assists meterless, around 800k with 2 assists and 1 meter… almost 1.2 million with 2 assists and 3 meter THC. And of course Touch of death off of Penance stare no matter what. I don’t want to mention solo, because i’ve never tried it.
My 3 favorite assists to use for Ghost Rider are Dr. Strange - Bolts, Akuma - Zankutatsu, and Shuma - Lazer beemz. Those characters go well with GR in general.

I decided to post me playing some online ranked matches with my Ghost Rider/Wright/Doom team. You probably won’t find anything new here, but if you want to see some gameplay involving this team or just want some entertaining matches to watch, check it out.

Is Ghost Rider’s bike hyper technically a cinematic hyper? In other words, would you be able to DHC glitch off of it in Vanilla? If you reply, please quote me so I get a notification.
I was just trying to make my goal clear. Cinematic to utility hyper still causes characters to go into a spinning knockdown. I’m looking for ways to DHC into Rimoukon that let me continue the combo into a TAC.
But, if you use the M version and DHC as late a possible, I think it’s possible for you to continue your combo, since it lets the opponent in Hard KnockDown state, but the HSD will be pretty high, so you probably need to do a S, j.H into TAC.
But good luck trying to make Ghost Rider viable character, I have only one advice to give, use Dante’s Jam Session.
