It’s a assist combo that uses task up arrows
The trick is to from where you start bring the character as close as possible then start the combo.
edit: Bring the target as close as possible*

Anyone else loving GR’s snapback? Insane speed for its range (it’s his standing H)
Tried doing his trials this morning and #9 is rage inducing. Any videos up for how to do it? Can’t really visualize whats needed
EDIT: boom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFRAy9yUk_c
Yeah, dat snapback is pretty beast and good for catching people off guard.
Also, characters with a fast slide like Hawkeye or Nova can go right under St.:h: so that is something else you must keep an eye open for.
Haven’t tried the snapback, but that range on his low:h: can punish Hard if you got the right assist.
if you’re having trouble with mission 9, i found X factor makes it alot easier.
You can also combo low H into snapback. pretty nifty.
Ghost rider Builds metter like a fiend
Ghost losses to TRUE keepaway soooo hard. Its kinda depressing…but then I just bring in Vergil
so on a strategy note…how would you build a team to deal with teleporters? I was just thinking that teleporters in theory would invalidate the whole zoning capability of GR since they can get in your face with a cmd.
I’ve been using Ds eye of aggomotto as a low budget flame carpet against teleports.
Anti-teleport theory with ghost rider works by getting someone to put something on screen for abit, then moving forward and getting them into your chain range. I call peekaboo then move forward, and once they are pressured i do it again until they are cornered and can’t do anything.
You don’t need to worry about assist at all if you keep them within your desired range, it’s awesome
Typically, any assist that sets a stationary object, wither it be a shield or a trap, works pretty well with Ghost Rider to stop teleporters.
I’m not getting the OTG Spirit of Vengeance enough, anything I need to do to make it work? I’m finding that SOV super is the choice for DHCing with my team.
Played about 60 games with Ghost Rider in Ranked tonight. Love him as a character (especially as no-one online seems to know how to deal with jumping S spam), even if he does have glaring weaknesses.
Anti-air. This weakness has already been discussed and gone over.
Tech-rolls. This screwed me up more than I realised. Basically, anyone tech-rolling towards Ghost Rider can end up right next to him, which puts GR in a bad situation. It means you’re either blocking (bad), trying to beat their hit first (bad) or jumping (no attacks that cover that sort of angle, bad). It wasn’t until I put Haggar in my team for Lariat assist that I was able to cover up this weakness. Teleporters also pose the same problem.
Keepaway. The combo that screwed me up most that I played was Hawkeye/Doom. Hawkeye was just jumping backwards firing triple arrows while Doom was firing laser blasts along the ground. Hawkeye’s Gimlet super also made it super hard to get in. Not sure if there are any other combos who could pose a problem like this - RR could be a problem, plus he can duck a lot of GR’s chain attacks - but yeah, Hawkeye/Doom was annoying as shit to fight against. If GR had a horizontal chain in the air that could solve the problem but he doesn’t, so it’s either super jumping and hoping S gets enough of an angle, being patient or remembering to pack an assist to help you fight on the ground. Hawkeye’s Gimlet super is good but it doesn’t hit assists as far as I can tell, so that’s something, at least.
To make GR really work, you need an assist to cover up some of his weaknesses. I was running GR/Hawkeye/Vergil and there’s great synergy with that team (eg: near the corner C, C xx SRK+A, C, C xx qcb + B, Vergil Rapid Slash assist, qcf + A, delay, qcb + B, Hawkeye poison arrow assist, qcf + A, throw reset) but ended up dropping Hawkeye because I really needed a gtfo me assist. Been winning more matches and far more comfortably now Haggar is in there.
It’ll be interesting to see where GR sits once the tier lists settles. I reckon he’ll be about mid. He’s a pretty good battery but yeah, good keepaway is a real bitch for him to fight.
To a small extent, Chain of Rebuttal and Hellfire :h: make decent Anti-Airs if you can anticipate an attack. But yeah, it’s better to have an assist.
Also, knew Haggar would work well with Blaze.
So, anyone feel Ghost Rider could fill an anchor position? I’m thinkin’ he’s got the range for the er, range…and he’s got the Spire to push away rushdown.
If anyone’s still having trouble with GR’s Mission 9, there’s kind of a Cheat that can help you out with it. On the 2nd :h: Chain Whip, press :h: WITH the Assist Button. If you timed it right, Tasky should fire his arrows up just as you launch your opponent. From there, just be quick with the juggle and you should complete it.
What are you trying to DHC into?
one of spencers supers
try using H then to wallbounce then dhc
landing ghost rider’s level 3 on she hulk is pretty hilarious.
