Not to worry. It’s good to discuss Ghost’s potential weaknesses because that is how we become aware once online rolls around. Speaking of which, is anyone else looking forward to Day 1 ranked?
Thanks bro.
But yeah, I am. Most likely the only time I’ll actually beat people until they get wise, lol.
I think I’ll be solely in the Danger Room (new and improved one) for the 1st week or so. I might hop on ranked day 1 to test the waters. If I do it will literally be jump-back chains + Hidden missiles assist till I get bored or my “tactics” get exposed
I kind of wish hawkeye entered on his hover bike and that would have been really cool stuff if wolvie entered on his bike
Anyways, so i guess if i was running task/nem/gr
Task is point
nem rockets
Gr ground flame?
I’ve never been a lab rat, I usually think of things to do with my team/characters then go play against someone and find out if they work or not.
The Lab thing is just so foreign to me.
MVC3 netcode is what kept me in the lab for so long in Vanilla. I really hope Capcom cranks it up to 11 with this one.
I spent most of my time in the lab due to MvC3’s netcode as well. While I plan on practicing frequently in the lab, I don’t think my team will call for much dedicated training time anyway. With Ghost Rider / Doom / Arthur, I have two people (GR and Arthur) who have combos that fall (or in GR’s case, appear to fall) on the easier end of the execution spectrum. GR looks more like Hulk in this regard, in that his basic combos aren’t as difficult or extensive, they’re just damaging. Since GR looks to do a good bit of damage in just a few hits, I’m going to assume his combos don’t get too wild or extensive. I’ve already got all my Doom loops down so I don’t have to grind that out either.
Many of the characters I used most often in vanilla required a whole lot more practice than my expected UMvC3 team. I might actually make it online (pending good netcode) in the first day or so with my main team. My sub teams are a little more complicated though so they might not make an appearance immediately…
Edit: Also, sorry for being a Buzz Killington haha. I just didn’t want everyone to get too hype only to be let down. Armor is still super useful, you just have to be a little bit more judicious with its use.
Zarathos has a big hurtbox on his Bike super.
In a video I was watching it hit strider when strider got behind it.
and does his Hell fire Spike assist has invincibility frames on its start up?
Not sure but cl0ckwork was hyping up that move some more saying that it ate projectiles and you couldn’t do anything to stop it. These guys are making it sound pretty godlike. It might be a legit GTFO me move and possibly his choice assist
^Yeah Ive seen in one video where ghost rider (assist) was hit but the hell spike still came out.
Man, this Hell Spike is sounding like the new Gustaff Fire…
maybe thats why we can’t combo after it outside of an assist, it just seems so good.
I thought Hellfire was the new Gustaff Fire o_O
If Heartless Spire is good for pressure, then I guess Hellfire will be best for OTG combos (assist wise).
in another video clock said hellfire spike can stop fire balls and shit then went off to say its 2 good lol.
Damn Hellfire Spike and your high priority.
yeah it seems that heartless spire is the way to go, if it beats shit AND Otgs then thats just beyond amazing. I tried it at EVO as a replacement to wesker’s OTG shot and it works just fine (can combo a super after it, can do stuff like berserker barrage xx super, s.H xx Armor Piercer xx Super etc) and it also comes out real fast, at least as an assist it did lol.
Well, let’s make the most of Heartless Spire once the game drops, people. Cuz if we get another revision of MvC3 after Ultimate, we all know it’s gonna be nerfed next time.
So… does that mean Heartless Spire is the true Captain Collider? Minus the massive verticle range of course.
If this is true, thats great.I didnt want Ghost rider to be a glass cannon. If people get through his zoning, he will be able to survive a combo or two which is good.
This either means that Thor got a health nerf or that Seth wasn’t telling the truth with Nemmy having most health.
I think its the latter, cuz nemmy seemed to die a bit faster than thor. With that said its good to see GR is above average in terms of hp, I like that and was getting worried that outside of nemmy none of the new characters had above average health.
