I got a 360, but I haven’t bought SC4 yet; I just haven’t had sixty bucks to throw around. I might get it in the next month or so, though… I played it at a buddy’s house and I really liked it! It’s a completely different game from SC2 (I haven’t played 3 much at all). I don’t think I can play Ivy anymore!
I did play it, but I gotta be honest, I dunno if it was my thing. It just felt stilted. My friends & I played around with it for a couple of hours, but none of us really got the flow of the game. Maybe if you gave me some pointers I could really start to appreciate it.

Just how cheap? Me and girl have expressed we would love to get out of NJ. She’s been here her whole life and sick of the place, and I’m just annoyed with this ghetto beat-up house we live in. Everything else is nice though. Well, except that there’s pretty much no fighting game scene here.
Whenever I’m ready to get back into the tourney/event scene, it’ll be no problem to pay your commute. I’m aiming to do something at Castle Golf on Oct 25th (marks exactly 1 year from I left Long Island), but nothing’s 100% yet.

Yeah, the game managed to change a lot while still having the same good familiar feel. I love it and play every chance I can. My record online is like 180-75 or something. Looking forward to playing you!
Play the Tutorial then play Quest. It does have a much different approach than your usual fighter. There’s A LOT to learn. But if you put up the effort and stick with it, you’ll find a very very good game going on. I like to think of it as chess on steroids. Tons to think about at any given moment, but you don’t got time to be thinking. Yeah, it’s not for everyone, but those who fully give it a try never regret it.
Check out VirtuaFigther.com for all info and help with it. If you ever play VF5 online, I can teach some stuff. But the tutorial from VF4 will tell you everything in 30 - 45 minutes.
Rarely. Although my cell does have AIM. But my message limit (for texts and IM) is 200. (and that’s sending AND receiving as 1 total) I just rarely IM.

i was soo upset
plus there were sooooo many little things that made me lose in brawl for both doubles and singles
doubles was RLY close but my partner missed a ledge and then after i missed a shield and i got killed
plus i think it was the first time these guys ran a big tournament like this cuz i myself had to tell them what to do when someone is playin casual and they need the TV for tournament lol and PLUS they forgot to register some guy…so me about 3 rounds in (in which i fought through and won) he gets 3 BYES to fight me and i lose :sad:

Some ppl don’t know how to run a tourney for isht. It was probably some newb. But that’s what you get for playing smash. Should’ve stuck with marvel lolz.
yeah pretty much i had to tell him what to do basically i couldve ran it better than him…oh it gets worse…the guy who they entered and gave 3 byes to chose a stage thats not in the tournament and beat me on it to get a free win :mad:
i asked the guy and even he said it himself that it was his first time running a tournament like that…they were soo pussy though i was like yo tell him to GET OFF the fuckin game…they didnt listen…then im like yo its easy just take the controller and reset the game…they just laughed cuz they thought i was kidding :-\

This is over a year late, but did anyone leave a Castle Fight Night with a copy of PS2 Capcom Vs SNK 2 that wasn’t their’s? I believe my copy got left in someone’s PS2.
I think it could partially be that some ppl are associating this thread with Castle golf, which they should not. It’s for the entire LI scene, extending to Queens, NYC, etc, and is NON-affiliated.
Anyways, I’m planning to have TvC along with our MvC2 sessions. Next session I’m aiming for the weekend of Jan 10/11th. As usual, I’ll update.
