im at Cardiff studying at the moment, wish i knew about the fight scene when i was living in london… hadn’t heard about Casino arcade untill now, sounds way better than Troc, the third strike machines there were a bit damaged. only been there a few times tho

Hi there, I was just wondering, I’m going to London for about a week in early July and figured I’d also attempt to pop in and World Warrior it up a bit with some SF4 whilst there. So far in terms of accomodation, I’ve got places to potentially stay in Blackheath (which is supposedly near Greenwich) and Kensington.

I was just wondering which of those two would be closer to either the Trocadero or the Casino. Or, alternatively, would there be a suburb/area near either that has either a decent hotel/hostel type thing and would also be near the usual London touristy things. This could all be a non-factor since you apparently have a functioning public transport network in London (in comparison to the relative public-transport slum that is Western Australia) but any help/info would be cool

I have a friend that lives in England. He wants to get into fighting games and he’d like people to play that live near him because he’s sick of online. Anyone live in England that usually have sessions?

EDIT: He said he might go to a trip to London soon. When do your sessions usually happen, guys?

Hello!

I usually live in Leicester, so I’m partly wanting to know if there are any arcades there, but also another thing!

Yesterday I went to the Trocadero for the first time and played on the machine there. It was the first time I’ve ever played on a stick - I usually play on XBL, and I’m not super great - but there was a guy in there who patiently took me to school as rufus for a good half an hour.

I have no idea who he was, but he was a great sport even though I was awful, so if you are reading this I wanted to say thank you?

I was in picadelli square and went to Funland for some SF4 comp but no one was there. Is there any places near St martins lane that have Super Street Fighter 4? im in Prague but will be back in London on the 25th of the month.

yeah i played at the goodge street arcade a few weeks ago. nobody was really there (except for some kid who i totally took to school and then felt a bit bad about) but i plan on going back at some point, just because it’s such a good set up there.

i’d love to visit these places but i really don’t want to spend £30 just for a communal experience … why doesn’t everyone just meet up, chip in to rent a hall the whole day, bring ps3’s/beer/any good fighting games and just hang the whole day fighting, getting drunk and discussing tactics

… the international student house where i used to practice aikido and mantis kung fu have really cheap rent rates and huge halls … it’s near great portland street station just off regents park … about half an hour walk MAX from the furthest arcade mentioned … trocs … closer to goodge

PSN SCRUB NEEDS YOUR HELP - ConsoleBeater (The name is miss-leading, I am a scrub).

So I been playing FPS non stop but just got into Super Street Fighter 4, as you have guessed I’m @ a huge disadvantage because people been playing the standard on PSN year+ prior to me getting aboard.

ConsoleBeater is just a sub account, its not my main.
I want people to add me and invite me to endless, not for practice, I want people who will go all out like its ranked, people who wont cry @ a win.

I got a Hori Real Arcade Pro 3 SA coming in the post.

err, this actually DOES happen in London plenty of times.

I will be in England vacationing with my family later in the year. They want to see some pretty strange stuff that I’m not interested in so I’ll probably be stopping by some arcades if they are accessible.

I don’t know our direct location, hopefully I’ll be able to meet a few of you guys.

There are arccades in these loations in London:

Trocadero. Right next to Picadilly Circus
Casino. Right next to Goodge Street Station
Namco 's arcade. Next to the London eye.

Paper ATM with ssf4 dominating and not being on arcade, you’ll actually find most serious players in gamerbase, also in the trocadero centre, in Leicester square/ piccy circus.

Casino Friday nights can be busy.

You’re best off posting on neoempire in the London forum when you come. People are always keen to play International mans.
