yo dude can u confirm that wen ur back please!
they have sf4
man, i went, there are people, i didnt play, cos i was embarrassed about getting my ass handed to me, ima go on monday afternoon instead! when everyones like, learning/working/lazying
so no arcade has it in london then ?
Trocadero, in London, has SF4 as has already been mentioned several times already in this thread. They got it like a couple days ago.
is troc open on sundays thinkinng about going there
yes.
just got back the two brothers from neo empire where there plus some dude from capcom named golden gun handed me a whooping cabs were ok bat top stick and if felt like it had no restrictor plate which was weird
Went to troc last night. got absolutely rinsed up but was looking forward the playing the game so much it didnt matter. I was a little stunned with the 1 per game thing tho. Im just taking this from US arcade lore, but isnt a game there a quarter? Thats like 20p or something, we are paying 5 times that? I guess it isnt so bad for those that can sit on it for a good 10/15/20 mins beating everyone, but when I’m sitting down knowing I’m going to lose, 1 gets pretty expensive pretty fast when your p(l)aying to learn. Anyway, still had fun
It’s $0.75-$1 depending where you are
I know this is the wrong thread but is there any arcades or scene in Edinburgh? I’m going to be there for work so I was wondering if there was a 3S crowd. Thanks for your help.
I’d be interested on this too living in Edinburgh myself.
I would guess that the HMV Gaming Zone on Princes St will have it soon enough if they don’t already (1 for an hour, consoles)
EDIT- ‘It’ meaning SF4 of course. They had MK vs DC in the 18+ section and there’s a million billion worse games in there overall than SF4. Plus SF4 can go in the main section probs as its only a 12.
If anyone wants to meet in there sometime I’m game.
This may be the wrong place to post this but seemed most appropriate and didn’t fancy making a thread.
Could anyone with knowledge of the London arcade scene help me out, the wife and I love “UFO catchers” but have no idea where to find them in UK.
My Birthday is coming up and we’re heading to London for the day so any reccomendations on where to find them would be much appreciated.
Namco Station at County Hall a few hundred yards upriver of the London Eye have modern UFO catchers (probably only place in London for that), a bar and tons of racing and light gun games. Went there a couple of weeks back. Sadly almost nothing for fighting game fans. Just one Tekken 6 cab. Glad I play SF and not that *** shit with faggy juggle combos.
Not posted in this thread yet… but Casino on Goodge Street has 2 lovely SF4 machines with proper Sanwa sticks and buttons. It also has a Taito card reader. I’ll be taking my IC card from Japan there to see if it works! Unlikely.
Also as of last week they had a working setups for Alpha2, HyperAnniversary, Blazblue, MvsC2. Also a few CAVE shooters, ProGear and some Mushihime-sama. Finally new in, Konami’s GTi Club remake and some Guitar Hero machine.
For anyone who is interested there is a KFXII cab at Casino as of last week.
A couple of my friends and I will be in London next week, might have to scope out Casino.
It’s right next to Goodge street station and is far better value for money than troc, however Troc is bigger, has more variety and is full of jailbait east asian girls.
HAHAHA bleeper your a joker mentioning asian girls
Seems like the coin-op scene is dying in London. It pretty bad in Hong Kong too, but not as bad.
Problem is 1 pound a go? wtf? Bring back 20 pence a go.
Maybe it would work better if there was like a games cafe where people could go play SF4, maybe bring their sticks and pay hourly for a machine or something like that. A lot of people just go to each others homes to play, like I did last night.
There’s normally arcades in some shopping malls in H.K. (off topic’ish)
