That is a good question. My guess is you, Joe, me, Alvin (?), Tony, hopefully Corry and Monney, plus Pandadude. Drew, meh I think he is turning into the FA Hermit on Arkham Asylum, so I have my doubts about him.
Remember, I have my Xbox and other PS3 for usage as needed. I would say Joe should just worry about his monitor and stick, XBox optional.
Wait, did you get yourself a good monitor Ryan? I hope you are not dragging a CRT along…
I bought a new TV. 24" “lagless” lcd. Pretty easy to carry around. I’ve been playing SF4 and Melee on it with no lag issues, also MvC3 in training a bit and there was one time when I thought MvC3 felt a tiny bit laggy but I might have forgot to turn the game mode on the TV on…we’ll see tonight anyway.
Brand/model? Just curious. Either way, I think one between you and Joe is more then enough at this point. I don’t expect that we will be running more then 3 setups.
“Gaming Mode:
Includes new “video bypass circuitry” to shorten signal time to the screen (also known as “input lag”). This creates an improved gaming experience – and an advantage you have over your opponents.”
HOLY SHIT THEY READ THE INTERNET AND HAVE FINALLY SAID THIS.
Just wish they would say what type of panel is in it.
Ben after that command grab-not-really-a-grab thing with Ghost Rider if you haven’t already used your assist call you can do this:
Call Doom right away, OTG, with +:h:, combo into :h:~:h: xx :dp::l: for wall-bounce, then do whatever Ghost Rider normally does after a wall bounce (I don’t know I didn’t actually get that far). There’s a little bit of a timing to the :dp::l: (if you do it too early they won’t be at the right angle to get hit by the bounce) but the timing is pretty lenient - you should be able to get it down after a few tries in training mode.
Ben I’m going to take your team into training mode for a while when I have time (probably Monday or later) and see if I can come up with anything for you. If anyone else wants me try this with their teams or potential teams let me know…I’m sorta good at finding combos/resets/setups…
Maybe an odd question but I think this is the right place for it.
In the end of 2009 I was at St. Clair and met a gamer who I think was active around London / Windsor area. This was in our elective class for Intro to Anthropology (but we were taking different courses.) I know he said he posts on SRK. Just wondering if he’s still here and active at all. Sorry I can’t remember your name.
Everything there is correct. I went 9-1 over Ben as well. I’m not sure about Joe and Alvin but from what Ben said I think they were both 10-0.
Just a little nitpick, I think a “-” or “N/A” would work better for the null fields than a 5… I see a number in there and see it as part of the results at first.
Probably me. Name’s Ryan and I took that class at St. Clair, couldn’t imagine that much of a coincidence with someone else.
Agreed. I sat next to you during that class and we had some light discussion about gaming, etc. Was just wondering how things are with you and if there’s much going on in Windsor lately. Also, good to hear from you again Ryan.
Awesome quality…maybe for future vids, come up with an intro, add player names, score (below/next to the names or w/e), put vids captured from a certain night in a YouTube set (like how some channels organize vids in a series, and you can click next to go through them one by one), etc.
But awesome job, these vids will take London to the next level imo. Nothing beats watching yourself play…
Btw, if we’re counting the results of these sets (read: # of wins) as the basis of the ranbat rankings, then so far, we have:
Joe - 26 points
Ryan - 17 points
Alvin - 16 points
Ben - 1 point
Or we can do a cumulative average, or whatever, but things will get complicated at that point, since you need to weigh the difficulty of the matches you’ve had so far. I say for now, we just stick to 1 win = 1 point, and so the more matchups you have, and the more dominating your wins are, the more points you have.
Well all of the vids except that one (for me anyway, it might help Joe) lol. Hard to look past that much execution fail for the wrong decisions…the 2nd set with Joe was really good though (we aren’t counting it, it was casual and he was running a secondary team for the first 5 games) and that will be posted with this batch.
As for adding the fancy stuff (player names, borders, scores, intros) that will come when I get some good editing software again (WMM is garbage and my Vegas stopped working for some reason). I actually already organize everything into playlists (go to my channel main page and you’ll see them), haven’t made a playlist for these yet though but I’ll get on it.
I am, what’s the transportation plan? Can you drive us all if it’s like 3 or 4 of us? I guess we’ll see who else is in though.
I mean I could but I just drove to/from Toronto and I’m a little exhausted…also technically my car is due for an oil change lol.
Me vs Alvin failed to upload, I’ll have to try again… these files take forever to upload I’ve left this running all day/night since 6pm Friday night.
Also Raid and I played our 10 while we were at the tourney today. 8-2 for me.
Also Ben what time were you thinking tomorrow? My phone is dead and I left my charger at work so either post here or contact me on facebook or get Joe to message me on MSN.
Yes, if they do run they start at 6 approx. Typically I leave around 4:30 or so. I can drive if it is just you, me and Ryan. Meet at my place around then?
Also, I don’t see either of you on my MSN. o_o (meljin@pol.com)
