Well I ended up ordering a converter if it gets here on time I’ll probably come.
Either way he’s askin for opinions, he asked specifically “to everyone here”.
Don’t know why you’re lookin for a beef.

MK9 FOR SURE!!!
If I come to this I’ll run it!
Awesome thanks Robbie. Depending on the number of people who show interest, we should be able to run this tournament too and as long as we have enough people helping out I think we should be able to fly through these brackets rather easily.
If we had more time, I would have liked to run 2 vs. 2 team tournament with the co-op mode…that would be sick!
Yea MK is a go, but it won’t take precedence over the other two tourneys. I’ll be adding it to the spreadsheet. I’m thinking we may need 4-5 discs handy. I will be able to supply one and Scott said he can bring 2. I will also make the entry fee $5.00 since we’re not exactly sure how well this game will turn out just to be on the safe side. I will try and source a prize for 1st place for this tourney as well.
Which brings me to my next point. If anyone would like to help me run any of the tournaments please let me know. I will be using Tournament Maker so it should generally be straight forward.
Also, I edited the 2nd post to show the attendees so we can get an idea on what the tournout will be like for each tournament. For those who want to attend, can you please make note of which games you would like to enter?
just hassling you, relax…converters show up usually in 2 weeks so u should be good
ftfy.
Forget MK9, side ST or 3S tourny is where it’s at. Two turn tables and a microphone. People need to go back to playing real fighting games.

BOOYA with the real OS stuff. No buttons, just sticks.
While I agree with you, nobody cares or will care about any of those two games…well until 3SO comes out.
lol although I don’t agree with playing Mortal Kombat competitively, this was very well said. Chris it’s time to move on. Why do you always insist on playing games as soon as they become outdated? Be honest with yourself do you really expect more than 4 people (this is counting me, you, stephan and josh) to play a SF2 tourney? Not too long ago you HATED super 4 and MvC2 and even SF HD. I’m surprised your so bitter about MvC3 man it’s SUCH an easy game to pick up and you can actually play pretty much anyone. It will take you 2hrs practice MAX to learn the basic BnB (you learned sentinel’s in about 40 seconds), then you spar and learn setups and mixups. Pretty well any team can be competitive in this game except like spiderman and VJ.
On a similar note, I’d like to see if you’re still so hype about 3S when 3rd strike online comes out and (hopefully) gets played by the masses again. I hope you are, even though I won’t be around I want to see you to play a game that the community at large is playing as well.
? I still don’t like HDR and Super 4 and I’ve never hated Marvel 2. And when 3S online comes out, of course I’ll play it, I still play 3S now on GGPO, but will the community even play 3S or will it just be HDR again where a few people pick it up but drop it mostly.
Poster has been updated to reflect MK9 being added to the game line-up.
UPDATE
We have now secured our second sponsor. MicroKool Computers will be sponsoring this event with great prizes and will also be present at the tournament! MicroKool was established in 1999, and specializes in selling and repairing brand name and custom made desktops, notebooks, and accessories. You can find more about them at http://www.microkool.com.
Also, we will be doing door prizes. All attendees will be given a raffle ticket which to which a draw will occur near the end of the event for some great swag.
Finally, we have secured everything that is needed as far as furniture is concerned. All tables, and chairs have been accounted for.
Stay tuned for more updates! This tourney is only going to get better and better as we near the date.
Microkool! sickkk
Hey guys, it seems like we’re getting a surge of interest for the MK9 tournament and may need more copies of the game just in case.
I can help with at least one Xbox 360 version, possibly more.
We need volunteers!
I’m thinking the best way for us to handle this is by assigning 2 people to help run each tournament bracket. This way if one of the bracket organizers gets called out to play, then the other can take care of it while he/she comes back. Also, it will make things much smoother if we decide to overlap tournaments once each tournament nears its end.

Please post and let me know which tournament you are interested in being a bracket organizer for. Experience in running a bracket is an asset however if you’re not terribly familiar with it I will brush you up on how the program works and we can go from there.
you’re not playin spidey right. my cousin has lk a 100% combo goin, no xfactor. ultimate webthrow resets are also so sexy and pretty easy setup.
people love to complain about characters when they havent put any time into learning them
I’ve since changed my view on Spiderman and am trying to use him. He also has (or had, I haven’t tested since new patch) an infinite web throw loop that does 100% on most if not all the cast. Ultimate web throw resets are good but almost everyone can get out of it, it’s a one time gimmick.
they basically need an airdash in order to get out of it…also the webthrow loop only works on mag and storm i believe
