Locations of Arcades

are there no MVC2 machines anywhere in CT anymore? hell are there any good arcades? smiles has a small stand up cabinet(mvc2) with screwed up buttons and an mvc1 machine and sf3 machine and thats about it.

no more whats your game, no danbury mall arcade. anyone know of anything?

can someone tell me where is there a kof98 arcade on this side of the planet?

I live in Delanco where there’s really no action nearby, so I’m interested in anything decent in NJ. I need to check out the arcade in the Moorsetown mall. Is that one any good?

Where is some marvel near the PA/MD line? The place down in the Valley Mall in Hagerstown is gone, and all they have are racers and a neo-geo machine in the theater. I haven’t been to Aladdin’s Castle in years, but even then they had little. (At best a Tekken Tag and a Soul Calibur 2 machine).

I don’t know about Moorestown mall. I was referring to the Game Worlds in Menlo Park/Freehold Raceway/Rockaway Town Square Malls.

But if you want a good chance at finding players, 8 on the Break is the most popular NJ arcade for fighting games.

Anyone know any good marvel places in Brooklyn, hopefully somewhere near McDonald park.

Went back to this place and they got rid of marvel for some rainbow kof.

There’s a Marvel machine in a luncheonette close to me. Fun Time USA used to have a Marvel cab… when they were still around. I’m sure they have tons of Marvel cabs at Astro Land in CI. I don’t know if Nellie Bly has one?
There used to be a place called Hits and Hoops that had a Marvel cab. It’s called Spartacus now, but I’m pretty sure they still have it there. Somewhere on Avenue Y if I’m not mistaken. There’s also a place called Kids N Action on McDonald ave which probably has a small arcade but I really don’t know.

Fun Tim USA has been closed for ages. They made a retarded policy that you had to get at least 5 dollars worth of tokens when entering and everyone stopped going. They used to have large cabinets for fighters, but competition there wasn’t great.

In Astroland there were only like 4, and none of them were working.

I know Hits and Hoops had one like 5 years ago as well as this place Pyramid, but they both broke and the cabinets never got fixed, same thing for the marvel under the Q train on ave U, shit been broken for like 6 years and they still keep the marvel cabinet there.

I don’t know that luncheonette you’re talking about nor the place on McDonald. Since I live not too far from McDonald it would be nice if there was a marvel place near. Killing 3 hours out of a day isn’t too exciting for me on transportation.

Fun Time USA had lots of games, but the buttons never worked. Soul Cali 2 was the only thing that worked perfectly but like you said, there was no comp.

I don’t know about Astroland. They don’t really get new games. I mean… Look at how old the Cyclone is. They used to have a ride call the Jumbo Jet and only when 10 some odd people died, is when they got rid of it. I swear, Astroland is a piece of shit.

The luncheonette is in Bensohurst. I’m not exactly sure where that place is on McDonald, but like I said, I don’t know if they have Marvel. I heard it’s like Fun Time USA though. It’s close to Shop Rite. There’s no comp, I bet. The luncheonette used to be cool. Back when Marvel just came out, they gave food away when you beat a certain amount of people. There was a college nearby so I used to just wail on them with Cable, Iron Man and Ice Man. Even then, a game store close to me had a bunch of cabs. They had Marvel and Garou, I remember and there was some comp. Even on 86th st, almost every grocery had a cab. I could walk only 9 blocks and play MSH, XvSF, MSHvSF, MVC, and Aero Fighters 2 along the way. What saddens me the most is that there used to be an arcade at Caesar’s Bay (Bensonhurst, near the Verazano). First it was called More Fun, then later it became Smiles. It closed a long time ago for reasons unknown. It always had people. They didn’t really have many fighting games but they always had Marvel and the people that worked there played pretty well. It’s not like cabs cost alot of money, people just aren’t interested in them anymore. Even laundromats have shitty games now. There’s a laundromat nearby that has Street Fighter EX2. I don’t dare wash my clothes there.

Still can’t find any functional marvel nearby.

People need to stop being lazy and leave their house or arcades are done.

God forbid ctf closes. They still got that for rent sign.

Yall probably already know but – TimeOut at Silver Spring @ CityPlace is no more.

City Place’s Time out

Since they sold City Place Mall, the new owner of the mall did not want an arcade there. That’s the reason it was closed. However, the owner of time-out is/was looking for a location for the arcade. It may move to Prince George’s Plaza or Wheaton Plaza. Thats was the last thing, I was told before it was closed down.

just as a report, if you’re visiting DC, looks like Springfield Mall (end of blue line) and Beltway Plaza Mall (end of green line) are only places left to play marvel. otherwise, look up peeps for console.

i live around brampton/mississauga area, and i was wondering if there are any other arcade other then the one inside Shopper world at steeles and hurontario/main. i only know of this arcade and i think its pretty decent, there is two 3s machines there, with new joy sticks, a few mt3 machines. it be awesome for a 3s scene, just too bad it closes on mall times, so i only go there on fridays from like 5-8, sat sun closes on 5pm = bleh

fucking new owner, just when i was forced to go there cause my parents wanted to watch a play, i don’t find a Timeout anywhere in sight

Where can I play Super Turbo in Manhattan (or close to Manhattan)?

The reason I ask is because much of the content in the preceding posts seem to be quite old.

Many thanks!
