Local SF tournaments .............?

Hey Guys, Living smack in the middle of the U.K I have struggled big time, A; knowing if and when any tournaments are being hosted in the U.K and B; finding anything local to me. Its kinda gay just playing online (better than it used to be, I know!). I want the competitive atmosphere, but it seems this scene has been dead for 10+ years this side of the pond (last tournies I played were on Tekken 2 and Soul Caliber!!)… or am I just out the loop??? If anyone has similar problems/Issues, or indeed a heads up for me the please let me know!!

My local Gamestation is having a SSF4 tourni in a few weeks but this will be full of casual ken scrubs who make Ken constantly say … SHORYUKEN!

Anywho please post comments!

All I can say is when that Gamestation tournament comes , try to find the ones that want to be dedicated players . When you do , help them out on their game on how to win , tell them about shoryuken forums , encourage them about the madcatz products ( Controller pads or Sticks ) , etc.

I messed up by not being that talkative to most of the players which cost me severely for me to take advantage of the fighting game scene during one of my very first tournaments here in MS ( Low fighting scene btw ) due to my resources and young age . I could of got somewhere with getting more people but I didn’t took the advantage , and now my area only has like 3 decent players .

My advice is that the tournament your planning to go to can be a key trigger on getting a good scene . Do all what you can to improve your scene by getting involved towards the players that have potential .
