bokchoy, keep at it man. Your level got me really interested. Sounds like alot of blood sweat and tears went into it. Don’t be shy about backing up your creation by publishing betas online. At least that way you can copy it back to your moon if your save data gets corrupted (Happened to me 3 times in the beta testing of LBP!!! Grrrr!)
Started my latest creation, the first level of Alex Kidd in Miracle World!
NES never took off in New Zealand while everyone had a Sega Master System 2 with Alex Kidd in Miracle World built in!
That game kicks so much ass I have to pay it a LBP Homage. Might have some Beta stuff published now and then for backup purposes I’ll keep you posted
I’m starting at the bottom and working backwards. The underwater section is almost done. Just got to do the frogman.
That one is tricky. You need to press up and jump as soon as you land…basically side stepping to the back plane of the playing field. You’ll need to do a forward sidestep from the back plane to the middle plane next, when the flames come out. Finally, a tricky jump is required to land on his head. Watch out for the spikes when you rebound off the “brain”.
Hey guys, this just in. I have some special God of War downloadable content codes for Little Big Planet. If you were looking to get your hands on it, send me a PM and I’ll hook you up. PM’s ONLY please. No need to spam thread since i wont be checking that frequently, in the thread atleast.
Man this game is too much fun, and I haven’t even gotten to playing with the online levels yet. I’m still doing story mode. I love how everything about the game, not just making levels but playing them too, is designed to feel like arts & crafts and do-it-yourself. Very clever.
I just got the game last night, I’ve only played through the first couple of levels, but I look forward to checking out everything. I still haven’t figured out how to check out other peoples levels, lol.
I think I know how to get my level working. I think if I just save the entire level as an object and copy it over, it might work. Once I’m done, I’m counting on you guys to test it for me to see if it works.
And started working on another level but working slowly…
ok, question. is there a way to get pics saved on the HD into the game? Also, is there a way to move music on my HD to the game? i think i might have seen that somewhere. thanks
Apparently, there will be a patch sometime soon that allows you to upload pictures via storage media device (USB), etc… and use them for stickers.
It takes up a hell of a lot of thermometer, though.
I’m seriously not making another level until Sony gets their shit together. They remove levels for moderation without any reason. No communication or anything. Bullshit.
Finished story mode. I liked the way they tie the story into the user-created content. Very fun game; I’m really looking forward to starting the custom stuff. For now though, sleep.
i’ve been spending the last few days making levels for a presentation that me and a few students are doing tomorrow. i’ve only had a few full run throughs, but have changed things. this is going to be a long night.
btw, this game is too good. (anyone seen the mirror edge stage?)
Man most of the user-created levels suck. They show very little imagination and are often completely devoid of any challenge or fun. Plus I think several of them weren’t even playtested.
