List of ps2 Fighting games

Planned, yes. Release date? Probably sometime after Nests Collection is released.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the info, snagged the following so far:

Fatal Fury Collection
Darkstalkers Collection
KOF XI
KOF NeoWave
KOF Orochi Collection
Garou
Melty Blood: AC

NGBC Best Collection pre-ordered. I figure there is a chance of no slowdown, plus I’ll save $30 bucks. In any case I want a version of it.

Any fighting games worth playing online for ps2?

Pride FC 2003, made by Capcom, import only.

Where’d you hear this? I check the site and they don’t have anything about it being released.

I don’t have a PS2… I have a Neo Geo AES and a DC, and my pc for MB, basically I play XI at arcades, Slash at my friend’s house, and I still haven’t played NGBC…

What do you play Metal Gear Solid on?

I pretty much need to have every one of those collections. My PS2 is OLD, so modding it would be worthless, it has hicups as it is.

So will swap magic work ok, or should I buy a japanese or modded PS2? I want these games regardless of online play, but if there was a way to get that to work, I’d be in heaven for ages.

Wouldn’t even have time to play a next gen system if I had online with all these games.

I have a roommate that can at least beat me from time to time, so would be worth it just for the games.

If your PS2 is old and already has problems I wouldn’t reccomend using Swap Magic or Modchips. If you have the money, getting a Japanese PS2 is the way to go. Otherwise you might consider buying another PS2 and modding it or using Swap Magic.

Online for these games only works if you live in Japan. Even if you got it to work in the US the lag would make it unplayable.

Also, there’s the option of getting a modded Xbox and playing emulated versions of the games.

Yah I have alot on my PC already, the Atomiswave ones (not emulated), like the new SS and Battle Colliseum I haven’t even got to play yet.

I’ll just ebay a Jap Ps2, or buy one. Play Asia has a pink one, heh.

A Japanese PS2 isn’t a bad option, really. My US PS2 is from March 2001, so I figured I didn’t want to mess with it. Got a slimline white one for 208 or so at Play-Asia, that includes shipping. Cables are basically the same too (unless you want better video output, and then the S-video, component cables, and the like for any PS2 will fit in).
