Yup, here is a link for confirmation if anyone needs to reconfirm that Ling is getting nerfed despite her not needing to be:

I really don’t know what to do about SFxT anymore. I really wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt and it is really fun, I do hope Capcom can save it, but things like this are ridiculous! After the patch comes out Ling will have no decent damage anymore and she is already a weak output character with low health and a bad wakeup game…unless they increase her damage, I really don’t know if I can continue SFxT considering the team I’ve always wanted to use has been Chun Ling Xiaoyu…

WTF @ the Xiaoyu nerf. First of all I rarely ever run into another serious Xiaoyu player, and on top of that one who can actually do the Loop consistantly online…I can do it 100% in arcade mode, but on XBL on ranked or endless its like 40%…its really hard to do on XBL if the connection sucks…She will be so weak and limited after this… I think I’m done with this game if its so.

I think you will be done with this game then because Capcom released an official statement of a few things the patch balances and that was on it. They also are patching Raven’s cr.:hp: loop too (I don’t know to what number though). I think people were complaining about characters being able to link 4 or more of the same move over and over, regardless if it completely makes the character trash in the end -____-

GG guys, after EVO I quit this game.

Victheslik (Rolento and occasionally Ryu) and I (Xiaoyu and occasionally Chun) made what I BELIEVE is top 64 at EVO. I could be counting wrong though. We were 7-2.

We got blown up by a Law/Ryu team because neither of us knew the Law matchup lol. Unfortunate that we had to play against Arturo Sanchez (who was Jibbo’s partner) so early on to get knocked into losers.

Considering all the other things I have going on, the fact that I don’t find SFxT to be an engaging (or balanced) game, and to add to it all the fact that they are taking away the very thing which makes Xiaoyu at least somewhat competitive, I don’t think I will be playing this game anymore, at least not competitively.

There must be someway we can get around her small nerf issue.

She is soo cute especalliy in this game.

I’m curious what the new juggle limits are going to be like for Xiaoyu. At least Hakkesho will finally be useful. Not in the way I had in mind, but it’ll do.

bummer that they’re nerfing xiaoyu’s cr.hk loop considering its damage is basically what makes xiaoyu viable

just wanted to post LOL!!!. im so glad i stopped playing this shit game. xiao was the only reason i played it and nerfing her loop was the dumbest thing they done. no wonder s kill left capcom :frowning:

groundbounce is back in effect baby. more combo potential. you can juggle from a distance AND you can still do a bunch of damage.
Hakkesho(100) into 3 c.hk(3x90) into h. phoenix talon(150)? anyone?? anyone???

If the combo ends after three sweeps, I highly doubt you will be able to combo into Phoenix Talon after.

it says that the hit limit is still 5 after a hakkesho, and that the juggle limit of the chk is 3. ill test it out when i get back to the states. but either way, 2 hits, 3 hits, its not that bad. plus if you burn a bar you can combo from a jump in and get a 100 damage move again. maybe you can do 2 c.hk 1 c.hp. either way im happy.

The Hakkesho juggle returning definitely is better than nothing, I’m glad that at least gave her that back. However, the one Hakkesho you can get off of Cyanide doesn’t make up for the damage she lost with 3 missing cr.:hk: reps. I hope that those are not all the changes made to her as she seriously needs a damage increase with some of her moves to make up for lost damage.

Her combo gave her two hit kills. I don’t know what the buffs??? Mean but if she can still get the dmg she will still be viable b ut if she can’t brak 400 w/o meter than she’s done. Ill only play her to troll lol but that’s only if I still play this game I really only like hwo and xiaoyu now I have to find another char

Am I the only one that read that were going back on the juggling mechanics for her to allow her more combo potential?

Beyond Hakkesho, Xiaoyu can also juggle with other moves after normal attacks, so test out a variety of combos.

What I think these limits mean are that:

  1. Breakdance can only be done up to three times in a combo.
  2. Either you can juggle with two Hakkesho in a row only or there is a limit of two Hakkesho per combo.
  3. Moves with limited usage like cr.MP may become way more useful.****

My partner and I made Top 16 at EVO and we were both blown up by Richard Nguyen’s Law! Stupid Law. >=[

We took out Uryo/Dogura, so that was pretty cool.

I find Xiaoyu fun to play so I’ll see if I’ll continue using her on my main team. I’ll wait for the patch to come out and test everything out before I actually “drop” Xiao. Don’t exactly feel like playing much SFxT until after the patch comes out.

OK Guys! Xiaoyu hasn’t reached half her potential in this train wreck of a game apparently, so hit the lab guys! ;D

I personally don’t find that very encouraging.

Aside from some incredible breakthrough, I don’t see how Xiaoyu will get much better than she is currently unless there are stealth changes to her frame data in the patch that don’t get mentioned.

I mess around every now and then I don’t find a whole lot of things. But, I did find something with Hakkesho. In situations where it otherwise whiffs on the second hit, tag on the first hit and you get the ground bounce.

Meanwhile, I’m still stuck finding a partner that suits me that isn’t King.
