After seeing that wall bounce combo, I decided I’m gonna play around with her. She looks fast, and offense, just like tekken!
I’ll update with pic and video when I get home
I really didn’t wanna have to even buy this game
well played ono well played
I am very satisfied…I knew should would make it. I can’t ask for more, got my tekken characters, Ling Xia, Asuka, and Even Ogre from Tekken Tag. And Juri Cody from SF. I hope Ling is final top teir. lol the trusty Gem system should dictate that hopefully…
She has an srk like kick and she has her other stance where she is backwards…
From the Xiaoyu video played by the guy who clearly didn’t know how to use her that well (he spammed her l,m,h,launcher combo and her rain stance 3-hit combo).
From the looks of it, she has both her rain and phoenix stances but the video barely showed any moves from the phoenix stance besides the 3-hit kicks that move upward. As for her rain stance, she has that 3-hit combo that leads to the kick and her backwards jump into a grab. Sadly, the kick in rain stance doesn’t send them nearly as high as I think it should because she can’t even combo off it it herself, which was a huge part of her combo in Tekken 6…this makes me sad =(
Her damage output looks low as thought last time, and I don’t think we really got to see a lot of her specials. Considering she has 3 stances known so far (and I think that will be it: normal, rain, phoenix) I except her move list to be quite hefty and I hope the next video we see of her has more info in it. Still glad to finally see her though, been waiting on her for forever! Chun Li-ng Xiaoyu…yeah!
Xiaoyu Has HER STANCES HYPEEE!!!
when the games come out Imma find a way to combo into all her stances
Did anyone notice that they turned her flip into El Fuerte’s Tortilla Propeller. There’s only thing I want to know. Does this get crouching characters as well?

I’m curious how a Xiaoyu/King team will be.
I wonder what the command for her stance change is
she looks like she will have long ass.combos
So what are your guesses in how she’s going play, her role in a team, and which gems she needs? I think she will be a very mixup heavy character, but looking to be way safer compared to Viper and Fuerte in SFIV. With her truly outrageous combos, I think she’ll be a really good battery character. Finally, I think one or two power gems and/or one or two defense gems will round her out real nicely.
I say she would be able to do 20 hit combos by her self and build tons of meter
meter gem, speed defo
she has a move that looks like it has at least 60 frames of animation you could tag in your next character while shes doing it n go for mixups or extenstions
Seeing that Ling is in the game and has AOP means that I will be maining Ling no question.
That having been said, there’s a lot more I’d like to know about AOP. Can she go into it the same way? What are her lows from AOP? Can she go from AOP to RD or visa versa? Does she have an overhead from AOP?
Judging by how low she gets in the video, AOP is going to be a FANTASTIC way to go under projectiles.
Maybe, maybe not it depends if capcom let you tag cancel from the 1st active frame. If so that’s a free super charge. I’m sure capcom ain’t stupid though lol. But yet again, Ryu’s ex dp hits four times. You can tag cancle the 1st hit
Yer they really really are
you ever experienced x factor before?
Xiaoyu looks more complete than I personally imagined she would be in the Street Fighter world. Having played her competitively for a long time in Tekken, I am excited to relearn her on a 2d plane. Time to now think of a good team-mate for her. I see a lot of players going to Chun-Li-Xiaoyu and personally I feel a little turned away from that team for that. Not to mention that I just can not see synergy being that strong teaming Xiao with a character of such calm pace. Xiao breathes momentum and needs a character that can keep that fire burning. Of course I could be totally wrong in that belief as I have to remind myself that this likely will not be Xiao as I understand her in the Tekken world. All one can be sure of at this point is she will live up to her name in not being too easy to pick up just as she is in Tekken.
I’m going to do Elena /Ling and Julia/ling for sure. But i want to try everyone else especially the tekken roster
Thing is, I feel like a speed gem is unnecessary considering how fast she is. Of course, we’ll have to see what are the “optimal” sets for her when the game comes out.
I know that the first four characters I’m trying out are going to be Xiaoyu, King (dat ethnic pride), Julia (hot, hot, hot), and Poison (I don’t care, I’m still fapping!), in that order from the revealed roster.
I can honestly say , untill she is at marvel 2 speeds I will say she can get faster
