so far im learning to walk n you guys are sprinting backwards lol
So the CADC loop is better than the AOP cancelling because it pushes to corner?
What is this CADC loop everyone is talking about?
lol this. To think I’m finally just getting the hang of comboing into AOP > qcf+HK consistently
I noticed Kiryu Tsukimiya using this method, I’d say it’s better for the sole fact that it’s much easier. If it wall carries further then that pretty much makes the stance cancelling version obsolete already
c.HK > charge qcb+P > dash > repeat
It’s Charge Attack Dash Cancel, and you can use it to extend certain combos, like ling’s cr.hk loop in the above video. The one that dashes is the CADC, the one that stance changes in place is the AOP cancel.
Only problem with dash cancel method is that sometimes you cross under if the opponent is too high when the first sweep hits (like when used as an anti-air or in a tag combo). Of course, in some instances you may want this if say you’re facing away from the corner first. If you’re really good you can do a rep or two of the AOP cancel version to lower the height and then change into the dash cancel version to still get some corner push. Alternatively you can do the opposite and use the AOP cancel version to lift your opponent high, cross under, then push your opponent back to the corner. Basically with AOP cancel method you can control your opponent’s height. Day 5 execution baby!
Can someone make a video of their fightstick and their hands as they do the CADC and Phoenix loop. How fast do you have to be to do those because I tried the CADC loop yesterday and I got it once out of like 50 tries O___O This Phoenix loop I’m also assuming is much faster then I can imagine.
Thanks for the tech CX805. This changes things a bit. Xiaoyu might need to be paired with someone who can grounce bounce and tag cancel.
As for myself doing the loop, I honestly can only get 1 rep. I usually input my dash too soon and it doesn’t come out. As for the stance cancel version, haven’t tried it. Though I’m sure there’s a rhythm involved to make this easier. I definitely won’t be able to do this kind of stuff online.
Is her HP fortune cookie into dark and stormy a 1 frame link or something?
How are you guys dealing with mashers? I have quite a bit of trouble keeping someone on the lockdown… my pressure isn’t amazing, but I find that disrespecting offense in this game is a bit too strong. As soon as there’s a hole in my string, I get jabbed out. If I try to be careful, they can just jump away.
What do?
I tested cadc loop yesterday on antiair and you can do it twice (unless you antiair them really really low). 2x loop to super does 437.
Inputs:
:d::hk::db::hp:,:f::f:(release:hp:), :d::hk::df::f::hp:,
(release:hp:),:d::hp:,:lp::mp::hp:,(pause):df::f::hk:
^ Does 357
I’ve tried 3 cr. HK’s to cr. HP xx talon but the talon wiffed the 3 times I managed to do the inputs properly.
I may just have difficulty reading this but let me get this straight, after you do the first CADC, did you cross the opponent up? Also, how fast do you have to be to do the CADC because I am having such a hard time performing that it is ridiculous but I really want to learn how to do it. Honestly, my problem is that once I do the :qcb::p: to dash, I panic and I start spamming the dash cancel and I worry a lot <_<
Yeah. How many important links does she have now?
Man… I don’t wanna give up on Xiao, but it seems difficult as fuck trying to learn her on a controller and do all these combo’s that require stance canceling. Why…?!
IDK, the Universe wants you to learn the meaning of No Pain, No Gain? And to save money on an arcade stick.
I don’t remember it was mentioned, but I got the guide today and was surprised to learn that Shooting Star/QCF+LP stuffs projectiles, but it’s no Yun Palm. Also, from the looks of things, the returning SF characters were going to get new models, meaning Ryu wouldn’t look so retarded.
For setting up [S]RSF[/S] the Dash Cancel Loop from a tag, it looks like you wanna do LP Hakkesho instead of the MP you normally do from Cyanide to set up the loop. That’s what I had to do from doing King’s Jaguar Step > Overhead and I wouldn’t be surprised if it applied to other partners.
I’m not even thinking about looping right now. I don’t get paid until the end of the month, but I know I’m getting an arcade stick then. I would have had one now, but dumb bill me later decided to mess up ordering and my address. It’s a lot easier with an arcade stick isn’t it?
Well, I’m still trying to get the second cr.HK in, but if it’s like RSF, it should be significantly easier. Same thing for the “instant” Phoenix moves.
What do you mean with the “instant Phoenix move”? Please tell me if there is a easier way.
“Instant Phoenix Move”, as I call it, is just a shortcut to getting out her Phoenix Talon and Flower Power moves.
For Phoenix Talon:
:qcf::3p:~:k:
For Flower Power (Haven’t tested this, but it should hold true):
:qcb: :3p:~:k:
You can do the same for Back Layout and California Roll from Rain Dance.
For Back Layout:
:qcb: :3k:~:k:
For California Roll:
:3k:~:db: :qcf::k:
Whatever you do, keep your directional inputs on the last direction when you do the attack button or you’ll get the other moves. As you can see, though, there is some leniency on the inputs for RD and AOP. You can do down-back for both of them. You’d probably be able to do down-forward for AOP if not for Cyanide having input priority.
Hm… I shall put the test tomorrow when morning if I get the chance to, but it sounds like what have been doing with Phoenix Talon. The only problem with it is that I can’t seem to keep up with it consistently at the end of a combo, but can easily do it outside the combo. And damn! Xiaoyu’s health goes down way too fast! It says she has 900, but it looks like another Akuma bar!
