Ling Xiaoyu Combo Thread

So after seeing someone to the hk loop on me I tryed it in training mode and have it down to 90% now.
I want to use xiao now what bnbs should I know for her?

You can do 3 loops into talon maximum. 4 loops willl miss.

My buddy’s got a flashed 360. You will be amazed by the stuff sakura has in this game.
she has a 3 frame jab and lk that could be turbo’d
regular otoshi causes ground bounce and combo possibilities. (but isn’t an overhead)
Cl.mk-lk tatsu doesn’t work anymore but cl.hp-lk tatsu cr.hp- lk tatsu still works
anti-air shouo combos to her super if she’s close enough
she could repeat 3 shouos (2lp and 1mp)
cr.mk has more priority, tested it on claw :open_mouth: (so good)
You gonna have to practice the time as her links are slower now.
lk.tatsu is still an awesome frame trap
cr.lk, cr-lp, cr-hp does’nt work cos of push back. you will have to take cr.lk out
hk and mk tatsu now cause knockdown.
she now has ryu air tatsu (stationary in the air0
it’s easier to cross-up with air lk tatsu
air tatsu floats ur opp for a combo
she’s still a damage monster

But seriously i think her lp and lk are broken it’s even faster than ae

Question: shouldn’t we do 5 sweeps into qcf+P? Does the same dmg as a 6th sweep and its alot easier to end that way (you can also tag in your partner after that).

Anyhow, you get the most damage out of 6 reputation of cr.hk, after 3 you can Talon for 3 hits and high tag opportunity. If you partner combo start from low hit any way (like cr.mp) you can tag the last cr.hk.

when will breakdance be patched out though.

i dont want to rely (or spend time mastering something broken that will be fixed soon.

It’s strong, but i don’t think it is unintended in the system. The fact that you can actually do it in two methods pretty much support it.The juggle limit exist especially for that reason as opposed to the infinite.

Plus, it’s not that hard…

And yes, I will still use Sakura in this game, after all she is the character which I feel the most comfortable playing.
Since I already know she has good normals and is going to have high damage output, she is likely to replace Cammy on my team.

also just figured that her cross art starts up like her focus attack in ae and is an awesome anti air
nj and diagonal jumping mp will make her the strongest air to air wise and its consistent (a lot of jump happy ppl on this game)
cr.mp is now even worse as a poke
she still has her not so good backdash
If you do a meaty tatsu and they backdash on wake up, they float for a follow up like st.lk shouo
diagonal jump hp is still very ambiguous and is hard to anti air as it crosses up randomly
range but not priority of cr.hp has been nerfed a little bit. you need to time it properly or you whiff and get punished
same over head with same properties from ae( nothing special) that should be a weakness cos ur opp could always block low
Hadou same as ae (all versions) Ex floats a lil and could be combo’d after

running her and xiaoyu would be fun. but u could get zoned pretty bad
today i’ll check if her tatsus still have projectile invulnerability while active

I think xiaoyu’s breakdance will be toned down to 3 reps. Just hope they take out the infinite without messing up mp hakkesho.
has anyone actually implemented California roll in their gameplay? if so what situation?

normal jump hits in front
super jump hits xup

in corner, c.hk x aop x rain dance, lk california, back layout or crouch cancel into f+mk etc.

what do u mean super jump??

Every character in the game has a super jump, :d::u: quickly produces a different jump than just :u:.

Most of the time there is very little difference but leave it to Skatan to find the only use for Xiaoyu’s super jump lol.

the c.hk loops won’t be gone , far to many characters can do something similar

There are very few uses, the distance and air-time difference is marginal unless you’re doing what Skatan mentioned.

It took me under 30 min to get it to 90% success rate, so you might as well take the time to learn it, it’s pretty easy.

It’s just a rhythm. Once you get a feel for the rhythm of it, it’s actually quite easy to do.
