Can fightsticks and hitboxes instrumented with Brook PCBs be used to power up a PS4 that has been shut down?
At the moment i am having to use the PS4 controller to power up the PS4. It also requires another button click from the PS4 controller at the welcome screen, before any 3rd party controller with a Brook PCB can take over.
Is there a way around this?
Can a 3rd party controller with the Brook PCB and a functional PS button be used from scratch without the need for a PS4 controller?
No USB controller can turn on the PS4, period.

Ok, i suppose I would need to get off the couch, haul ass and hit the power button on the PS4 console sitting 15 feet away from me. Thanks for confirming…
I wish Brook would include this functionality.
They can’t. The PS4 is designed in such a way that USB can’t power it on, it’s the same with my Hori stick. You can power on he PS4 via HDMI-CEC if you have your TV remote with you.

Omg…why didn’t i think of that…I currently have my 2 receivers CEC enabled, bit of a mess, but i’ll sort it out. Thank you!!!
Just wire up a power button on your stick and custom connector on your ps4 to wired to board. Sleeve it into your usb cable so it looks nice and you are done. simple mod.
