Has anyone tried using UV (black light) LED’s with skeleton buttons? What was the effect like?
SF4 Madcatz Fightstick
Will this mod work on the SF4 Madcatz Fightstick. Where can I find a specific tutorial if I wanted to do this kind of mod on the SF4 Madcatz Fightstick? Keep in mind this is not the Tournament Edition, just the regular one. Help please.
I used UV leds in my stick. Heres a video of them lighting up. They aren’t the skeleton buttons but they are PS-14-GN with clear plunger tops.

Yes it can be done. The directions on the first post are general. If you don’t have much experience with pcbs and soldering, its recommended that you get someone else to do it. It can turn into a nightmare if you don’t know what you’re doing.
I really wish I could learn soldering and all that right now. I’d definitely be interested in doing all these crazy stuff to my HRAP 3-SA I just got. Maybe over the summer…
Thanks. Also, do you know if I can use Seimitsu buttons in place for Sanwa buttons as they come in clear colors for the LEDs or is there a clear Sanwa button out there I don’t knoww of. If there is, where can I order them?
You can use any Button you want.
Even Buttons that are not clear.
But why do that?
Laugh.
TingBoy used Seimitsu Buttons if you did not know.
He said so in First Post.
Seimitsu PS-14-K.
Discontinued.
Sanwa does not have Clear Buttons like Seimitsu does.
But Sanwa did make Buttons with Clear Plunger.
OBSC-30, OBSC-30RG; but they no more.
Discontinued.
Gummowned, a few Post above yours, used Seimitsu Buttons with Clear Plunger.
Seimitsu PS-14-GN(???).
Does anyone have picture of how to do this to a SF4 Xbox 360 Arcade Stick Standard Edition. I kind of get what all the diagrams are sating but can work much better if I saw what wires lead to where and where things go. Please Help.
Also, for the battery holder, can I use a 9V battery holder. Will I have t make any changes to the original schematics if I use a 9V battey to power the LEDs?
Is there a video explaining how to mod it on a TE? for the PS3… It’s just pretty hard for me to let someone else do it for me. Since no one in my country does this kind of stuff.
EDIT: Nevermind, I’ll just try to read more in slagcoin.
Could you make one that doesnt require a battery?
The flashing up button mod? Or the button stays one colour and switches to another when pressed? And how Would I hook up a lighted joystick? [ xbox 360 ]
scaammerr guy?! lol
Oh man, forgot about that.
So sorry.
Laugh.
But he does have what you are looking for.
Too bad.
I guess you want to talk to bencao74 then.
Anyone know any other LED modders?
Thanks, Gummowned. Thinking about an always on mod with UV. Not only is the light up mod out of my skill range – it’s distracting, too!
To light up the joystick you need the shaft drilled out for the wires. Then if you want the same action as the buttons you will need a different chip. Refer to the end of the first post of this thread.
I have been known to do a few. :wgrin:
Would u sell a sega saturn or PS2 pcb hooked up with LEDs, ready to place in a joystick case?
thing is they have it here http://www.arcadeshop.de/Sanwa-Joysticks-Lit-Kit-JLF-color-changing_947.html could you help me with the whole lighting mod thing? pm me or something and we’ll talk or we could talk here. o-o
Kaytrim’s Kustoms drills out Shaft too, you didn’t have to buy from ArcadeShop.de, unless you are Europe?
And yes, Kaytrim’s Kustoms has LED Boards also.
