THE FIRST NORTH JERSEY REJECTāS TOURNAMENT FEATURING SKULLGIRLS!
Soā¦ seriously. I worked my BALLS off getting us a new tournament venue. If you guys donāt show up, Iāll be super pissed.
I should be able to make it
More info! This is a big test run guys. The owner wants to be certain that itās worth it to continue running Skullgirls guys. If he doesnāt show up he WONāT LET US RUN THE GAME AGAIN! He only wants to run games that can at least get 12-15 players each week consistently. Iāll probably be able to bring two people, but this venue for NJ Skullgirls will ONLY STAY OPEN IF YOU COME OUT AND SUPPORT IT! It doesnāt matter if you arenāt the best at the game. Come out and get better!
Seriously guys, this can only work if you help out by just coming out and having a good time.
Hereās the new SRK thread [Feb 16, 2013] (SG, UMVC3, ?) North Jersey Rejects Tournament Series (Kearny, NJ)
Post in it, get hype, donāt let it get buried, and spread it everywhere you can! This is our chance to have an east coast presence guys! Letās do this! Donāt let the hype from the donation drive fade.
Make a facebook event for it too.
Wish I could make thisā¦ but other events + no monies that day ;_; Iāll try to come out in the future, maybe get NY heads to show up too.
Please do. If we manage to survive a week we would love to have you. (Sorry for the jaded bitchiness but Iām getting a LOT of āwish i could come but I canāt,ā from LOTS of people and the SG community will never survive on āwish I could come but canāt.ā I get this sinking suspicion everyone will show up for Marvel and no one is gonna go for SG. So yeah, wish us luck and if we survive bring the NY people downā¦ IāM HOLDING YOU TO THAT ^_^)
Yeah, I understand how that is. I really do want to attend these, though. Which I willā¦ as soon as I find a job ;_;
If we get enough peeople at the first NJ rejects

The owner said he might have a surprise for future SG tournaments. IDK what that is but get hype.
Hate to pimp the tournament again, but this just happened at the venue.
LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE MISSING! LOOK AT IT!
<span style=āline-height: normal;ā>Heyā¦ At the NJ tournament Ā Iām runningā¦ Marvel has 20 entrantsā¦ Skullgirls has fourā¦ where you at community? http://www.facebook.com/events/403590659735175/?fref=ts
Tournament was pretty fun! Glad it all came together in the end. Although, I probably wonāt be heading out again anytime soon given how much of a pain in the ass it was for me to get over there. At least now I have a better idea of where I need to go for the next time.

What were the final number of Skullgirls entrants?

Also, shoutouts to still losing to pre-patch strats. I got exposed for the fraud that I am!
Final entrants were 13ā¦

Though I am depressed to say around 5 of those were my personal friends who I coerced into joining.

The NJ community needs to step up their shit.
Wasnāt there another SG tournament in Connecticut at the same time? If that was a one-time thing, maybe things will turn out better for Rejects next time?
If I didnāt work on Saturdays and also live an hour and a half away Iād show up, but sadly money to continue scraping by > having a blast At least Iām assuming these are gonna be Saturday events from here on out.
