I’m sure that he’s not AS trashy if you knew how to play as well as you do 3s. SSBM seems to ‘ave a steep learning curve (manual dexterity) on a competitive level. Maybe you should start with someone eaiser jus’ to get a hang of it all.
BTW… I’ve almost completely weened myself off of GW. Thanks to Orochi Messastu, Jacob, DVASZ, Nate, and TheFuture. For the gaming sessions at my place! Mad fun. I jus’ wish that everyone was as used to JP style sticks as I was. 'Cept for O.Messatsu ;]
This summer will bring more games, hopefully more/better seating, 40+ in widescreen TV (in addition to my 32in HD TV), PS3, XBX360, and Wii, BBQ action, and, of course, more booze. Come one, come all.

Pretty much there is no reason to go to GW.
Still no T5:DR even though I don’t like the game it’s a top tier fighting game which almost EVERY arcade has. So, dssapointing. The 3rd Strike Machine is total shit. You can’t dive kick on the right side of the screen on either side, plus the 1p does random jabs. MvC2 when you tap down on the joystick you’ll get a HUGE dead zone or it will just simply stick. It’s a fucking disgrace, not to mention the techs have finally turned the other cheeks on us cause I asked if they could fix the MvC2 and 3S machine really quick and they ll started bitching at me and giving me a hard time “Man, this is why I don’t work on THursdays any more, all I hear is bitch, bitch, bitch about the cabs” so I told him “Well, if you’d fix the cabs right the first time, we wouldn’t be bitching about how the machines and now the cry baby techs are junk.” So…I’m pretty much not going to go to GW any more and just play at home/friends houses. And pretty much boycot GW. I understand this is a lot of peoples only outlet for arcades outside of Preppys, but GW just isn’t worth going to any more. We care, they don’t. So why should we?
I’ll make a house party thread so when ever people wanna game, just post the time, the date and if anyone is interested they can PM their addy or # to them. Because there will be no fall back to the house parties.
- We’ll know everyone around us so no random bitchy/smelly newb cramping our style. Not to mention no more random 90’s rock n roll. We can listen to our own tunes.
- We won’t have to wait inline cause we’ll have multiple tv’s/systems/cabs going
- There will be alittle traveling, but it’ll be worth it, plus you can smoke, cause a riot with loadness and get shit faced untill the sun comes up, if need be.
- You can bring your own stick so you know nothing will malfuction and in the case it does YOU can fix it right there and then and make sure it works 100% again.
Just say no to GW.

It’s all been said before, but one thing I find funny is how certain tech’s are anti fix the fucking machines. I mean what else is there to do at GW:rofl:. I’ts been a wrap for GW, like you said they don’t give a fuck so we should’nt either.
For the seattle peeps, GW is convenient. I feel for the peeps from far away land who come to GW expecting top tier cabs when in reality they are about as shitty as you would expect at your local arcade.
The controls are not that bad. I took the low tier master of Seattle two weeks in a row and he was busting out glowing hands into SPD’s like it was nothing on the “broken” side. There may be some issues with the sticks, but they do work. I won’t front because I can’t fit 10 people at my place. I need my fix, and GW and Zach’s is the only place I can get it.
I’m not expecting like, uber top tier FFA status when it comes to cabs. But I am asking for a decent staff that will do their job when asked and the problem is CLEARLY visable and messes up peoples game play. But they don’t have that any more. So it kinda crushes the atmosphere. Even with all the awesome people I have met.
I have never heard of an arcade with decent staff. I have gone weeks at UW with sticky cab buttons, missing fierce punch, and down/back missing meaning you can only block on one side. Such training has given me the ability to adapt on the fly. Not saying people should have to put up with such crap. I just do not agree that GW is the shit hole people make it out to be.
I agree. But they could definatly get their shit together alittle more.
GW happens to be the best and worst place we have. 101!
