There was up to a six man rotation on Marvel, Mandel had record win streaks on Marvel and Samurai Showdown, and 000000000 barely missed breaking Mandel’s win streak with his crazy Mag/Strider/Storm team. I played kind of weak since my thumb is in a splint, but managed to represent Megaman and Silver Samurai OK once Mandel got bored. Nice people, everything was working great so that’s good.
3S and Tekken all seemed to be busy all night, and happily enough SvC was ignored for the most part

And just for your info, I haven’t played anybody at 3S at GW that really destroys me. I used to get my ass kicked when I was new, but I can do pretty well now.

I don’t know if I’ve played or met you before, but I’ve played a lot of people at GW using those characters.
As for all the “who the hell are you” questions, I’m the skinny white guy with glasses that plays SAII makoto and that’s it. I don’t have any other characters, and I usually don’t even switch supers. If you’ve played on a thursday, you’ve probably seen me there, you’ve probably trashed me, and I probably whined about the sticks.
I was going like every thursday, but I started posting here since I wanted to find out when the big boys were going to turn out, ya know?

I HATE MVC2 (mostly because I don’t know how the FUCK to play it right)
I have never once made it to GW on thursday, something always comes up. I hope to change this soon and start meeting people again. Now if GW were to get ST, I would find a way to be there every day.
lol. I whined about the first player stick the whole time I was there. The system seemed f’ed up, too, and that’s when I neutral grabbed some guy’s Makoto in the corner. The board is the new type, isn’t it -_-’. Somebody said that even with the 1p stick messed up, the regulars have figured out where that low block starts working. Anyone mind telling me how to get that down?
I have this week off so I’ll do the Gameworks thing tomorrow, possibly after checking out how South Hill Mall has changed. Today, I’ll go check out how Gametown is doing. Plan to stay til at least 7p.m., longer if there is competition. I figure I’d see how things have changed since I ran the tournaments back in the glory days. Kind of irritates me how the only “fighting game” I get regular competition on is Smash Brothers at Nintendo.
