Lets play at Gameworks Thursday nights

Do ittttttttt!

Definitely up it to BO5 instead of BO3… that would rule(if we cant get it back to 1 dollar)

If you can make that happen, that would be awesome. 2 round for a dollar works out to about 50 a round, so for 1.50, I think 3 rounds is reasonable.

I would leave it as is. This is not Tekken.

hell yeah! best 3 out of 5 would crack and justify 1.50.

Wouldn’t that make lines longer? =\

Yeah it would. I don’t want to see a scrub get raped for 3 rounds when it can be two and be a shorter wait for players.

I think that would just make the credit stacking problem worse, no?

lines are already long as it is. I don’t think there’s been a time since I put those games on the floor that I haven’t seen at least 3 to 5 people waiting to play. It is a good point tho, if it’s best of 5 and it goes all the way to final round that’s a lot of extra time…think of what will become of Thursdays -_- The sad fact is that this will probably be the only “quick fix” to the whole $1.50/time card crapola until I can try and rationalize with operations. Ugh, fucking Gameworks… two steps forward, one step back.

I guess Im a bit confused…they raised the price on the game because of credit stacking? That seems more like encouragment to only play during time cards and credit stack…rather than pay MORE with real cards. That’s just punishing the people who ARENT doing anything wrong =/

Time cards are out. They are making them no longer work on SF4. (or so story goes)

They werent working yesterday so yea they’re out. Not that I really ever used timecards, I always seem to find cards with points on them around my place.

I’m fine with best of 5 rounds, but thats only because I don’t expect to lose until I get at least 5 wins. For other people, that’s gonna be real disappointment. So is $1 and no time cards but only best of 3 rounds…is this out of the question?

Even at 1.50 best of 5 rounds is pretty expensive as is. The fact of the matter is that people aren’t gonna get up to the cab, lose 4 or 5 times, and be willing to want to get back up there. I think I will probably make an appearance later this week.

just make it like 75 cents or somethin’ that will help the dough roll out nicer.

rofl I think you dont understand…nate doesnt own gameworks…he cant just go setting prices to whatever he wants.

The people in charge set the prices and they are far removed from the actual arcade.

Best of 5 seemed too long, but it was nice to figure out a little of the game. Tekken next to a SF game doesn’t make sense to me.
Strange game so far - it does indeed seem like Street Fighter II: Fancy Edition.

GGs tonight folks. 3/5 is a little bit long, but the silver lining to the higher prices is that it keeps the rotations smaller - I definitely played more rounds tonight than at any other session before. Now if I can just learn how to get in safely and deal with crossups…

Man, I was planning on going this thursday for the first time since school and work would permit it.

But my mom’s having surgery that day and my dad’s out of town, so I have to pick her up and take her home and make sure she’s ok for a day or so.

There’s always next week I suppose.

Good Games

ggs against everyone I played tonight.

f’in fireball spammers/turtle tactics are gay, some players need to grow some balls and take risks. just my humble opinion nuthin personal.

3 outta 5 makes waiting for your turn longer, but I think it’ll work for people tryin ta get the most out of their 1.50.

again ggs, chun is so much fun to play!

Hey its just my opinion but friday and saturday are better nights to go anyway. And time cards dont work on the machine anymore so thursday night isnt free night
