well hopefully the buttons and stick arent a million miles apart like at Narrows
Sweet!
I will have to show my ugly mug up in GW soon.
Does anyone know if the cabs are all set up now? I’m planning on checking it out this evening.
work in progression
They’re still workin on it, so hopefully it will be up this evening or tonight.
is taka here? i was told that this guy (taka) was coming in to set it up and they cant do anything until he gets here. but if he is here, then we have a good chance of seeing it within 2days.
Sorry fellas but we’re having some hardware issues so it probably won’t be up tonight (Monday) But Taka is on the phone with IT in Japan as I type this so who knows. I’ll keep you as up to date as possible
Sweet, thanks for the update.
Thanks for the news Nate. Good shit.
So guys I have good news and bad news, the bad news is that due the imcompatibility between the lindburg hardware and the Taito x2 hardware the game won’t be up any time soon. Taka called SEGA of Japan, Capcom of Japan, and a few other places to try and get it up but to no avail. Now to the good news, if they can’t find the JVS I/O converter we need to get the VF5 cabs converted we’re going to get sent 2 official SF4 cabs from Japan to put the kit into. This should take 2 to 3 weeks at the most. As always I’ll keep you updated.
I think I’d even prefer to have the 2 SF4 cabs, even if it means the extra wait!
For real, we can wait a little longer.
Looks like I will have to drag my scrubass to Gameworks soon.
Lame.
maybe im wrong but SF4 needs 2 cabs to run standard. So 2 official cabs = 1 setup. It doesnt mean 4 ppl can play
Yeah, that’s the way it is for all SFIV cabs.
Official Japanese setup? Mmmm…that would be sexy.
I’ll be here tomorrow night if anyone wants to play whatever.
You should join justin and I instead of Gameworks. Place is randomly terrible. And you’ll go broke on weekdays. 'Cept thusday nights, I suppose.
You should come through to my place tonight. We eat Iron men for breakfast.
Yeah, I would if I could but no ride .
For those who are interested, GW now has one SF4 cab set up. It’s downstairs and towards the back, by the Initial D and Indy 500 machines. It’s just one unit for now, in the old VF5 cab, but if you haven’t had a chance to drive down to Tacoma and want to mess around vs the CPU, you can get some training. Price is set to four points, so it’s a dollar per game just like at Narrows. Props to GW for not putting a premium on it. Now, once they get that second cab arranged, we’re in business!
