The problem with resets in this game is people can just air recover forward/back depending and get out of it, you can try and predict which way they recover but if you mess up its back to finding a way in, also don’t forget that the opponent can easily attack coming out of air recovery so you probably need a good assist like gustaff fire to ensure they don’t just mash into free combo
how much extra damage do all these loops do
i get almost 500k from just the regular comno and that rarely drops
cr.L, cr.M, cr.H, S /\ j.H, j. H+down, qcf+L, land, qcf+M (hold) xx super
if u remove the first cr.L it does almost 500k damage and if u can do the DP super on sentinel and get more damage

I also added a Reset/Mixup section coz it seems the dude that made the mixup thread wont be updating it or anything.
lastly I’m trying to find a way to organize the first post a little more and make it a bit more pleasing to the eye coz it looks really messy and wall-of-text-ish atm but I cant think of a way to do that, any ideas/opinions on that would be appreciated.
so yeah basically if you have anything that you think should be added or adjusted in the first page let me know.
Edit: k so i scouted the other combo threads to see how theyre organized. so far, seems almost everybody is on the same boat. aside from the Chun-Li one which is divided in a started-special-ender Dustloop-ish way (which i despise btw, It was such a hassle reading and putting those together when i was learning Litchi so I’m not gonna do that, and I dont think x-23’s combos need to be broken down that way anyway so…)
Some of the things i Noticed that can be done to improve the layout:
-color coding: a color for “meter combos/XFC combos” and main titles, and a color of each combo.
-removing the button smilies.
-putting each combo section in a spoiler.
I’m a tad torn on what to do with this so some input would be appreciated.
Edit2: I also noticed that almost every character forum has a proper “Matchup thread” which we seem to lack, yes we have one that says team/matchup but that doesnt really have anything in it nor the format for that, and i doubt that a true matchup thread was what the OP was going for.
Anyways, the point is: do we need one? I’m willing to do it as I’ve done matchup threads before and I keep them fairly updated and organized, however If anyone else wants to take it they should go for it as long as they stay on top of things and update it. there’s also the option of the team thread OP editing/updating the thread to be a proper MU thread so I guess we’ll see.

Well I’ve found a way to combo into weapon X prime with an otg assist adding in a neck slicer, I personally use this so I can DHC into Magnetos Tempest, but overall it does more damage and is a lot better for DHC’s.
hey, what is the timing on the qcf+m (hold) slide into super I hold it down for 3 seconds and then do it but does that always work? if they are too far away can it miss?
if you just hold it down fully, (4 seconds) is it safer or has more range? Will there always be enough time to land and do qcf+m and hold it as long as possible and still connect?
I personally always hold it till it hits by itself and i dont think I’ve missed it at all, you have an eternity to land OTG stuff (which is stupid imho, the other character just laying down for 5 seconds waiting to get the second part of the beatdown -_-)
i missed it a few times, maybe i landed to far away after knockdown. You have to do the ankle neck slice (or whatever its called) as soon as u land and start charging right away?
if u are really close to ur opponent, do u even have to charge it down, i can’t remember what the properties of the move are.
I don’t know if any one else has explored this at all, but the mirage cancels lead to some pretty wonky combos. You can do 5h into it self like 5 or 6 times in a row just mashing it out. I assume you could add two~ more 5h’s into the bnb loops that involve relaunching( like 2l 2m 5h 214h j.m j.h 5h… ect). I’ve only just messed around with looping 5h into itself in the corner, so I doubt this has been really tapped into in regards to combos at this point. Also mirage feint canceled 5h is like +11 on block.
Oh yeah, I don’t know why, but if you input the cancel 214l(hold)s you will get a launcher. The best way I’ve found to do the cancels is to just already be holding down s, and just do 214l. If you already have s held down, it will auto cancel the hop on the first possible frame(think makoto hayate feints). You can also input them as 214l+s, but that seems less consistent. Also note if you input them with the simultaneous press method, you should hold into the inputs for a second until you physically see the cancel.
Nice. I’m finding most OTG assists that pop up will allow her to combo all three of her supers, so I’d def recommend trying them with this set up. Right now I’m using Wesker’s low assist for these. Dirt Nap only requires a quick dash to land if the spacing is right, but it will combo. Easiest set up is still my ganky day 1 post-command throw shit (command throw, assist, super activate).
Combo OP’s can be a bitch to make look nice. I did the Adon combo thread and it was difficult to keep things from looking a mess. Outside of playing around with spoiler tags, you’re kinda stuck. It looks fine to me. It’s Marvel, so every combo is gonna look like a bunch of skittles tossed around randomly no matter how you do it anyways.
Oh man, awesome. I’m totally going to refer to combos that use a lot of different buttons as “Skittles” from now on.
You know, as opposed to M&M’s, which would be combos that use the same button repeatedly.
for that slide I hold it for about I dunno maybe a second and a half, always works for me.
mirage feint to j.m, j.s is still weird for me, but I’ve got it to work a couple of times. I really like that combo, I’ve been trying to get it down for a while now lol.
You can also IOH crouching Hulk, MODOK, and Tron.
Not sure if it has been posted, honestly I’m to lazy to run through this thread. One combo I have been using a lot doesn’t involve a mirage feint. It starts with her light Talon Attack.
L Talon Attack x L x L x M x H x c.H x S x j.M x J.M x j.H x Air Down H xx L Talon Attack x Fully Charged Anckle Slice xx Rage Trigger
Normal: 522,200 Damage
Lv1 X-Factor: 830,800 Damage
Lv 2 X-Factor: 969,300 Damage
Lv3 X-Factor: 1,107,700 Damage.
The combo itself before the Hyper build’s about 90% of a hyper bar. If you start the combo with a j.Down H then cancel into L Talon Attack to start the combo you build about 95% bar and do like 10-15k more damage.
I can’t do her Heavy Feint combo’s yet, So I have to work on those. I’m trying.
Do mission 9 until you learn Heavy Feints. Mirage Feint is a prerequisite to doing incredibly awesome things with X-23. Very basic combos using Feint H will build multiple bars.

gives a whole bar. And it’s the first half of my X-23 BnB. Not just that, but this works in any situation that has a ground magic series. You can tiger knee Talon L into it, you can do what you’ve been doing with :d::h: xx Talon L, you can do Neck Slicers or Ankle Slicers into it… literally every option X-23 has somehow connects into her terrifying “I WANT TO COMBO NOW” Mirage Feint H.

Edit: OMG, 2 hours later in the same mission I finally got mission 9! Now to be able to do it consistently…oh boy.

You can do: {:h:xx:qcb::l:+:s:.:h:}x5 on normal characters midscreen… I got 6 on sent. I’m sure with better timing you could probably do more. In any case this could afford us a cheap way to get around hitstun decay and combo scaling, because you could add one or two extra :h:'s any time you do an :h: in a combo. You would have to change your combos around, but I highly doubt this couldn’t be used to create higher damage combos.
