You guys know if any top Japanese Giefs are going to EVO? I’m sure the answer is no like every other year but who knows. I know Itazan and KOG are going but obviously they’re gonna be rocking Hawk. Haven’t heard anything about Silk either but I hope he’s going. Right now seems like the only good Gief that’s definitely going is Snake Eyez.
Itabashi has been playing Gief for the past couple of weeks, looks like he might use him at EVO. KojiKOG has always been a T.Hawk player.
I honestly don’t know about other Gief players, someone like Shin last year could show up and do damage (sent Popi to losers out of nowhere).
KOG mained Gief before Hawk.
Oh, didn’t know that. Either way he’s been using Hawk for years, doubt he’d go back to Gief when he sticked through Hawk’s 2012 iteration.

If only our focus attack hit everyone while crouching…, the Honda and Blanka matchups do change thanks to being able to hit them while they crouch.
Gief’s FA hitting low would instantly change so many matchups. Maybe we’ll get it in the console release.
Also the reach can be fixed on his FA as well.

Speaking of Focus Attacks, Vega’s Standing HK xx RFC, is crazy!!! The range on that thing is a killer. And then he lands Ultra. No charge needed to start with.
Red Focus as a mechanism is an utter fail. Some chars are unfairly red focus hogs!
Zangief only has ONE lead in, into Red Focus. It would be nice if cr.HP was another lead in. HELLO!!! SUPER CANCEL CR.HP SUPER CANCELL!!! That would be sick off a jump in, or as a counter poke xx RFC.
Oh well, our friend, Hawky, has no lead ins into RFC. That makes me one happy Gief. 
And also, Ultra W is a complete joke. Something like 170 for Half U2W and 220 for Half U1W. W needs to be balanced in line with U1 and U2. It’s like Capcom half arsed it, with little consideration. It’s an insult to grappler’s ultras, which can’t be confirmed into, and are in the majority of cases, gambles. Not to mention the redundant aspects. Ultra W is not viable AND UTTERLY STUPID.
Snake Eyez made it out in winners he will face Fubarduck and the winner faces off against either MLswear or Tokido.
Damn, if Snake faces Tokido I think there goes any chance of seeing a Gief in the top 32. Also Air just beat one of the worst Giefs I’ve ever seen on stream. I could barely watch he was so horrible.
