Well there is a very big chance I am getting that HD PVR. Some guy on the trading forum just so happened to post one up for sale. It turns out he’d be interested in doing a trade for a few things I have. He said he would make a decision tonight, so fingers crossed. We can start recording and maybe uploading get togethers.
After my exam tonight, I should be free until Sunday. I am also “free” from the whole next week. So if any of you are interested at going to the NERV Center or have a small offline session, I am game. I actually have been at the NERV Center a couple of times to play L4D and CS with my friends. I did not know they have consoles. Pretty cool, I guess.
PHATAL PHD, do you have an extra arcade stick for the 360?
Honestly, I thought there would be more 360 representation than PS3 since most of my friends own a 360.

Nah we are mostly ps3. The previous generation a lot of the games came to ps2 over xbox so that was how we migrated then. Then in the new era we had ps2 sticks so we moved to ps3 and this is where we are now. I think there is 2 know working, four if you count dual mods, for 360 and like a dozen ps3.
I know revy mav and myself would like to get some offline action practice this week as a warm up for evo. Maybe something at his ,revy’s,place if we can swing it since it is local for most.
Things aren’t going so well for me at the moment so I may have to quit Street Fighter. I at least want to do 1-2 more tourneys before that happens and I’d also like to attend any get together’s you guys have planned. That’s bad news Flawless. Is there anything any of us can do to help? I know real life issues take priority but it would be shame for you to have to quit something you love so much.
I wish there was Revy lol though I really appreciate you asking. I should know for sure what’s up on Monday but as it stands right now I may not be able to play. On the bright side I guess, I’ll still be attending Summer Jam at the very least and maybe some get togethers in between.
That’s too bad, man. I hope it doesn’t have to come to that but I think I can speak for all of the LV players and say that if you ever need anything let us know.
Unfortunately, Saturday is full up for me. I’m probably going to have some spare time on Sunday afternoon and/or evening. Nefarsus, my girlfriend has off on Sunday so if you can make it, bring your gf up. They can do girl stuff and then watch true blood at 9:00. And flawless, you are more than welcome to come if you are free.
My gf is leaving for a family vacation tonight. Sunday may be busy for me. But I’ll see what I can do. I have an open crib for the next week if anyone wants to do anything in the evenings. Really trying to do my best to get as much offline practice in as possible. Want to get as better as i can for the next tourney. I’ve been playing against a few really really good players the past week and have learned a real good amount as far as my defensive game. Trying to play every day to keep improving. If anyone wants to play online or offline tonight, let me know.
I went to Nerv yesterday and asked how much it would cost to use the projector. They said $7 per hour per person. So if there is a group of four playing for three hours, it would cost $84. Isn’t that expensive?
I can talk to Max. He gave us a deal last time of $10 per person for the whole night. We go way back so I can see if he could do something like that for us again. I won’t be able to talk to him until after I get back from Vegas, though.
Fuck that $7 bucks an hour to play a game we are providing is ridiculous. Last time we were priced at $10 bucks a person for the night and that was a bit ridiculous. I wish we could just get 1 flat room fee for the big screen. I personally wouldn’t mind 5 bucks a person, just sucks we need to pay to get a group thing going.
For cyber cafes, the price is about right. It’s always expensive. CTF also charges $5 an hour to play SSF4, though you pay it through 25 cents intervals every three minutes. Whenever I go to Nerv to play CS or L4D with my friends, it costs $5 an hour, or $20 for five hours. So for flat price of $10 per person, as long as we play for over two hours, the cost is about right. But yes, still expensive.
We do not actually have to use the revenue at Nerv anyways. I have a 32" HDTV, a PS3, two arcade sticks, a copy of SSF4, and STHD saved on my hard drive. I do not mind transporting them for a offline brawl. The only problem is that my room is kind of tight for any get-together. My parents also do not like random people showing at our house unless they know them well.
