I was browsing through Craigslist for arcade games as I sometimes do, and I found a listing for SF2:CE for $800. I was going to recommend it to my manager to put in our arcade (he probably would never go for it, but hey, opportunity = instinct = profit), and have a couple questions for you all. I don’t know the history of SF2 behind the curtain. I looked into the Street Fighter wiki, and it mentioned this version is the target of a number of illegally sold hacks. I’ve seen a bunch of multicade cabinets that clearly are not made for commercial use, so I know it could be really easy to fake this. Basically, how do I know it’s legitimate? The decals look right to me, but again, I’m no expert. It has a manual included, as well. I don’t think one of these hacked machines would include that. Secondly, is $800 a fair price for this? It seems in line with other old arcade cabinets I’ve seen before like Donkey Kong & such.
