All depends man. So times people that try to learn, re-learn Gen have to put so much time into him that they don’t get much time to practice an alt. I had to put so much time into playing a new style of Gen that when I went back to Akuma I played really bad because his frames were different. So I had to re-learn them as well and get used to the delay after his demon flip into normals. Hey I give the guy credit and balls for trying.

Well instead of making a new thread and also instead of posting it in the General Discussion board a few level down, I don’t talk to anyone on here other than who ever posts on the Gen board. I don’t look at anything else really. So I figured I’d share a video that has nothing to do with Gen. A bit off topic but just to change gears a little and since I’ve gotten to know some of you, I figured some people might be interested. I’m really big into tattoos and I’m sure some of you are as well. So just to switch things up and bring this Gen board a breath of fresh air here we go.

Thanks bud. They were done by a local artist in New Brunswick, Canada. I’ve known him for a long time. Since he opened his shop he used to do House framing for my step dad.
My music taste is very broad. From Jazzy Hip-Hop to Norwegian Black Metal. Plus I felt Heaven Shall Burn went better with the Alice in Wonderland tattoo. Maybe I should’ve made two. But I wasn’t thinking.

Me vs Lincoln “Dragongod” Morris from Empire Arcadia. I started out not too bad. Then I just went down hill a bit. I had so many free Ultra 1 chances I’m just not used to throwing them out vs Ibuki, don’t have her punished on reaction yet. I dunno why she’s just like Akuma. But I’ve been freezing a lot vs her because I keep thinking I’m going to get hit by the Dagger. Anyways it was all over once he started the Vortex, like I said before I’m not good vs her Dagger Vortex I always guess wrong or try to FADC and he doesn’t give me the frames to do so.

I think that was a good match bud. Kept up pretty good with the empire. I think you coulda won if you woulda done a couple things diff. like you said Ultra1 through air kunai.

I don’t think you can do the Mantis or Crane Ultra I through her kunai (ex. Rd 3 at 2:59). I would have tried to Mantis Ultra I her neutral jump or close the distance and Crane Ultra I; just speculation though. You did look like you had control of the match, except when she knocked you down in rd 2. Even after that you dropped the HK gekirou combo, with that knockdown you could have added some “possible stun” pressure.
I still think you played well.

I never had to use it, but I might practice it so it’s in my reactions. It’s MK+MP+PPP or KKK right? or do you plink it so it’s MK+MP~PPP?
I’m not famliar with “plinking,” but yes it’s is MP+MK, (canceling the start-up frames) PPP or KKK. I do it by squeezing the FA(MP+MK) in “right before” the stance change (PPP or KKK).
I’m no expert so… anyway that Ibuki seemed to have more patience in many situations, waiting for you to attack and then fight back appropriately. Anyway great video!
