Not that I’d buy that shirt, personally, but still. It’s style. My niece finally got tired of me talking about nothing but Street Fighter and League of Legends all day and asked me if she could get back at me by talking non-stop about fashion. I learned a lot, and I appreciate it. It seriously gave me a completely different view on something that I thought I knew enough about to reject, but in actuality knew not jack shit. Kinda how she probably is on video games.
If only you had 200 bucks to buy your own ugly shirts and not worry about mine.
I’m not going to argue with anyone on SRK about fashion. Theres no point. I dont need the approval of anyone on fashion from SRK I do just fine out in the real world.
Yes. People can choose to be those things just like about with anything. It is easier to not like gay people but i think that view is were my argument of misclassification comes from. I don’t see the difference between homosexuality and other sexual preferences, and I am very curious in trying to see the logic as to why that is something treated like a race? How many times have you heard a person be called “bigot” for saying that he/she thinks that “marriage is to be between a man and a woman”? It blows my mind that pop-culture classifies that as bigotry when homosexuality is a sexual preference. But don’t get me wrong, they are free to have relationships if they chose to…
New York and LA are very different. I can go to the fashion district with about $300 and get 2 fresh suits and get them tailored too.
I also have a $800 suit that i got in st louis with all the imported italian blah blah blah. It really does feel nice. But i got hard skin. So for me the difference isn’t too much. Except i have only worn it 2 times in the 5 years i have owned it.
I need to get it refitted because it was more of a fat guy fit, but now i have more of a big shoulder no gut look. So eh.
Now when it comes to shoes. I will care about the comfort and how nice they look.
But how often will i wear a suit? To a wedding. To a retirement party. To a job interview?
Yes i went to manhattan and man those people always want to look right out of a runway. Dressing down in nyc is dressing up in la.
But eh. For me a custom suit should fit and if i can get it for less and people can’t tell who the designer is, just that my suit is fresh. That is cool for me.
Sorry bro bro, too busy paying for my mortgage. But if it makes you feel any better I did waste about $500 on this big ass paper weight people like to call the PS4…I watch more movies and anime on that piece of shit more than anything…still can’t change my background picture.
Anyways you said “shirts” as in plural, please show us more of your collection.
Good material isn’t only about the feel, it’s about sturdiness. You know why some suits cost more than used cars? Because they are built to last. Even if you wear it a few times a week and get it dry cleaned once every couple of weeks, it’ll last you ten years. You may not be New York but the prices of material don’t differ. Good wool will cost the same here or the swamp land of True Blood.
You can also wear a good suit anywhere! A utilitarian suit is a staple in every wardrobe. I’ve worn nice suits to punk bars where the bar top is slathered in whiskey run off. I got looks, sure, but none of them were because I looked like shit. But I do like attention so whatever.
For all that explaining about how nice your 800 dollar “italian” suit is you could just say you have a nice Saint Laurent Pairs or Lanvin.
Thats the thing about high fashion you dont have to question the integrity, construction or fit of the clothes. The names do that already. Which goes back to it being a moot point that you can get a polka dotted shirt from wal mart. Its not a Commes De Garcons polka dotted shirt.
I wouldn’t go so far. Some brands license their stuff to other companies to make. That’s why you should never buy Calvin Klein suits from those bargain suit stores. It takes some research but you can find out what labels the brand actually makes in-house and are of high quality.
You mean like “CK for bla bla bla” or something? I would never buy a suit like that. Companies do that a lot now, theres a department store in the US called H&M that frequently have designers make clothes FOR the store with their name on it, but the quality and construction is a lot lower. Its like Target selling Versace t-shirts with target materials.
I’m not too familiar with Calvin Klein suits to be honest. The only suits I have which arent a lot are Marc Jacobs and Dolce.
Yes I am. Being gay is really a choice, because it is a sexuality. This whole thing that people are born gay is just brainwashing by new age atheism, while i myself am not a theist or believe in any god/gods/goddess those links and arguments are not reputable scientific data, it’s another one of those many articles on the net that attracts anti-theists who want more for their “here’s science religion, fuck you!” parade.
Sexuality develops when a child reaches normally 8 years old (some 6-7), the link you gave from theguardian does not serve as reputable academic source. You can read this on child sexuality development http://hss.state.ak.us/ocs/publications/pdf/sexualdevelop-children.pdf or just read
It was also Sigmund Freud who first postulated that parental relationships with a child ultimately determine the youngster’s sexual orientation.
Your argument about transgender is also weak, first the link you are using as a reference for support is wiki next is just common sense. The only way that genes can actually show questioning about actual gender is if the child was born hermaphroditus. If the male person has full male reproductive organs then the genes are not dominantly female because there is nothing biologically showing. Genes will not send messages to your brain that you are different biologically and for a person to think that he is truly a different gender in the inside with out any slight thins appearing on the outside is delusional.
