The gay pride parade and gay marriage are worlds apart. The gay pride parade is to celebrate LGBT being able to be public with who they are. There’s also a nasty history that goes along with it. You should read it just so you get a better understanding. Gay marriage is something that came ages later, before they even dreamed of getting equal rights. Also, they’ve been trying to legislate for years. It takes time. Civil Rights laws didn’t happen overnight.
As far as conventions go, why can’t they have a gay gamers convention? What if gays want to just meet other gays who play video games? Would you go to a dating service that only works with Jewish people because you feel like they should look outside of their own religion for love?

I just wanna say I don’t necessarily support terrorism it’s just as a method it’s ‘better’ than whatever the LGBT advocates are doing. They’re not even hagging or making deals. That type of ‘public discourse’ I could get behind. Instead they’ve contracted the ‘woe is me’ syndrome and the only way I can describe their other behaviour is ‘begging’. Not that I can blame them completely: whining, begging, guilt-tripping, and demonising all who disagree with you, are apparently very effective means of getting your way in today’s sphere of ‘public discourse’. It just doesn’t look good in the long run.
What I mean is that the ones who you call the terrorists aren’t portraying themselves as helpless victims if that makes sense. You might not agree with their actions but they are willing to fight (literally) for what they desire and risk their lives to obtain it. How is that not admirable? It makes groups like the LBGT look like the harmless whining brigade in comparison. In this sense they’re more respectable even if they are more violent than the other groups.
@crotchpuncha – I know about the benefits of marriage. What I was referring to was the issue of heterosexual divorce when I said ‘look how well that’s worked out for them’. I thought it was obvious, especially when I mentioned women divorcing more in heterosexual and homosexuals marriages. Perhaps with homosexual marriages, divorces aren’t quite as skewed to one side?

But yes again, if that’s occurring (deaths) they should definitely forgo any action that might cause that (penetration for instance). But I will say that this issue is only getting reported from one side most of the time. Those with positive experiences (yes they do exist) and not tragic ones like that happened to that girl aren’t really allowed to speak due to the moral indignation of the public.
And I’m assuming we’re all familiar with how groups like the CPS and law enforcement agencies harm kids in their hysteria to ‘protect’ them, more than if they’d just left them alone at times (the arrests/charges for ‘sexting’ for instance).

I see homosexuals and transgendered people in an entirely different light, personally. The former is a deviance in one’s brain chemistry, according to some. Transgendered people seem to have the wrong vessel for their soul.
In either case, different isn’t wrong or bad. I’m a red haired man with blue eyes, a mutant twice over and representative of one of the smallest minorities in the world. Nobody wants to beat me to death for it, fortunately.
Public image really counts with law though. Also, I understand wanting respect and to celebrate being able to be open and all but from what I’ve seen from it it’s just so… perverse. I’m all for the equality but the way they go about showing pride is disgraceful.
