Overhead hits lows (Iāve heard reports that startup is faster as well)
EX Clap hits more slowly, old vortex/dash mixups not possible but new ones are.

V-reversal pushes further out (universal change)
Cr LP now combos into LP elbow (Confirm from Cr. LK now possible)
Some nerfs, some buffs. Iāll wait to see what the changes to EX Clap will bring. Her oki is already pretty bad comparatively and with back throw advantage gone I feel like itāll be even easier to keep her out,which we all know is her biggest weakness.

No idea what they mean with the EX clap change. If it hits slower, wouldnāt you just simply have to delay your button/dash/etc. and have access to what you had before?
Overall Iām not impressed. Light Bolt from cr.LP isnāt really that big of a deal.
I really dont understand the cr.mk nerf. Itās not like it links into big combos, and it doesnt have amazing reach. That canāt be right especially with that large hurtbox it leaves behind.
Iām happy for the overhead change and we can finally link cr.lp into something, but I dont feel like those are really game changers for her. How is this gonna help us with characters like Chun and Zangeif???
These changes were somewhat predictable to me. I always wanted to have that cr.lk confirm, because it changes the dynamic in many matches. Most people just stood up while blocking against Laura but now she has options. It will be extremely useful in situations where you catch people off-guard with a forward dash (or even avante) and throw it out there.
Yeah, itās nice to have and I agree with DrGulag that it does give you more pressure options up close or after V-Skill dash, but if the price for it is a short cr.MK Iām not sure I approve. Especially since landing a Light Bolt isnāt as good as it used to be, people know what to expect afterwards these days. Itās no Irish Whip.
Getting back to EX Clap btw., I just read some other notes (closed the tab, but I could find them again) that said there wasnāt any difference in timing but that it launches them as high as in V-Trigger. That would certainly take away some easy meaty setups but it would allow more stuff without V-Trigger, like maybe using HP Bolt for the damage? Hopefully weāll have some official info soon.

If they hit slower we might be able to combo into H Bolt from anywhere on the screen. However I donāt know how good that is since all the oki has been nerfed.
So our dream of cr. LK hit confirms has finally come true⦠the cr. MK nerf is bad, but if they gave her a better walk speed it may compensate for it. We might simply have to play her in a less āstaticā way.

In any case, this looks like a very significant buff that we might need to explore. If you can reset someone in the air before the 2nd hit of the clap lands it may mean that you can make him always land with the clap in his face⦠hehehe
I agree. The low confirm is nice, but Laura was already scary good up close. Why nerf one of her only ways in (which wasnāt that good to begin with)?
Obviously we still need clarification on the EX Clap changes, but Iām going to be disappointed if her side switching mixups disappear. That was something really unique and one of the reasons I chose to play her. People are already used to punishing her dash cancels so at this point her v-dashes may become completely redundant.
I dont think something is right with these changes. Wth does a slower ex fb do? Im gonna hope for something official. None of that stuff helps her bad matchups at all.
Now apparently command grabs are even more unsafe on whiff and chip damage recovers slower? Whats the point of that?
No fireball adjustments, command dash adjustments, command grab adjustments, weird AA adjustments, link adjustments save for cr.lk into light elbow, and hitbox and hurtbox adjustments? Thereās gotta be more to this list and Im gonna hope for the best when it comes out that Capcom isnt completely full retard.
We will have to see it in action I think. Could just be that the timing is different but Iām never holding my breath when Capcom is at the wheel lol.
